ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Development Representative drives lead generation and qualification across strategic enterprise accounts in our target markets. This role focuses on prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing early-stage opportunities to accelerate the sales cycle for new business. As the first touchpoint in the customer journey, Business Development Representatives play a direct role in Tungsten Automation's pipeline growth and revenue success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work closely with sales and the field marketing team, managing inbound leads from webforms, bots, and events while executing outbound prospecting activities within key accounts to set qualified appointments.

  • Generate new conversations and appointments across strategic accounts, helping expand Tungsten Automation’s footprint in new markets and verticals.

  • Identify, qualify, and nurture prospective customers, schedule first calls with account executives, and support opportunity progression through the sales cycle.

  • Build strong relationships with sales representatives and pre-sales engineers to improve qualification quality and increase win rates.

  • Achieve or exceed goals for qualified monthly appointments, monthly deals in forecast, and annual revenue targets.

  • Meet weekly with sales representatives to plan account goals and align outbound prospecting activity with business priorities.

  • Participate in quarterly regional sales meetings, company updates, and business and sales reviews.

  • Proactively learn competitive products and strengthen market knowledge through websites, online webinars, and publicly available information.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Tungsten Automation’s products, services, and solutions portfolio, including positioning, strengths, competitive advantages, market drivers, and business value.

  • Manage and log activity in Salesforce.com on a daily basis.

Required Experience

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Passion for sales and interest in helping customers on their automation journey.

  • Appetite for learning new things and the ability to implement feedback quickly.

  • High standard of integrity and strong work ethic.

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to build personal connections with prospects.

  • Excellent communication skills, dynamic presence, and a positive attitude with a drive to win.

  • Technical fluency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SalesLoft, and Sales Navigator.

  • Experience working in a software technology company.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; a four-year degree in sales or marketing is a plus.

  • 5–7 years of Business Development experience and/or 3–5 years of enterprise field sales experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in first-call-to-opportunity creation and progression.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output quality.

  • Ability to leverage AI to ideate, develop, and scale work based on the needs of the department.
