WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Tealium is seeking a dynamic Sales Director in Japan. The Sales Director will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic sales plan that aligns with company goals and targets that will deliver sales growth and customer retention for the organization. The Director of Sales is also responsible for the direct management of sales team members, operationalisation of new processes, and reinforcing the Japan culture.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
Develop and execute various sales strategies to drive incremental, year-on-year, Annual Contract Value (ACV) growth to meet ‘new business’ revenue targets for the region.
Recruit, develop and manage a strong performing geographically-dispersed Enterprise sales team that you coach and mentor for individual and team success.
Lead in the acquisition of new logos and retention and expansion of existing customers.
Demonstrable ability to build and maintain relationships with customers & partners.
Collaborate and communicate with internal colleagues to design, execute and improve processes, practices and compliance programs.
Ensure communications are coordinated and you support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
Recommend improvements in territory plans and sales strategies based on market research and competitor analysis.
Work closely with Channels, Marketing, Solutions Consulting, Sales Development Reps and other internal stakeholders in generating sufficient, quality pipeline.Performs other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in Sales and Marketing or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of sales management experience
Minimum of five (5) years in a direct quota-carrying role selling Martech/SaaS solutions
Minimum of Five (5) or more years of relatable experience and market knowledge in the marketing and data sectors
Demonstrable ability to manage and develop a group of individuals with a wide set of skills and competencies in a cohesive manner
Strong knowledge in sales methodology
Direct experience in recruitment, leadership and management of senior sales team
Demonstrable strategic success in partnering with Marketing, Channels and Sales Development to generate pipeline and close business
Direct experience in driving growth through strategy, recruitment and winning incremental market share.
Business level English to be able to talk with APJ General Manager when needed
Close to Native level Japanese due to need to read contracts and visit/negotiate with clients
CDP experience is highly preferred
