At Tanium, our global solution architects work closely with Global System Integrators (e.g., Accenture, EY, PwC, Deloitte, Kyndryl, Verizon, etc.) to define go-to-market solutions that incorporate Tanium technology along with Microsoft and ServiceNow technologies to solve relevant business challenges for the world's largest companies. This position requires the ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution, articulate the solution's business value, and define the technical architecture of the solution. A global solution architect must be comfortable interacting with C-level executives and senior technical leaders. The ability to demonstrate and educate the GSI partners on the technical solution and articulate the relevant business outcome and ROI to the customer is critical.
As a Global Solution Architect, you'll play a strategic role in the Tanium team. You'll work with the Tanium business value team to develop ROI calculations and collaborate with the Tanium marketing team to create go-to-market material for the GSI and Tanium sales teams. Your excellent presentation skills and comfort with public speaking at conferences and webinars will be crucial in effectively communicating the value of our solutions to a wide audience.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be familiar with Global System Integrator consulting practices, vertical industry segmentation, and navigating the intricacies of that GSI.
- Experience with Microsoft and ServiceNow technologies
- Have a deep understanding of Tanium technology, use cases, integrations, and best practices.
- Be the direct conduit translating customer business challenges into technical solutions, positioning Tanium to effectively solve those challenges as part of a larger reference architecture focused on proven business outcomes.
- Work directly with our world-class sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates.
- Experience with interacting with C-level executives and senior technical leaders.
- Develop and demonstrate innovative reference architectures and educate and train GSI partners on the technical, business, and ROI of those solutions.
- Help GSI partners develop services and MSP offerings powered by Tanium technology.
- Oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demos and highly technical Proof of Value engagements for existing customers and new sales opportunities.
- Function as a technical expert throughout sales engagements, ensuring that tactical motions in the pre-sales and POV processes line up with strategic account goals.
- Consistently and cogently address our customers' needs through astute verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Build, manage, and maintain strong external relationships (GSI partners, customers, and prospects) and internally (solution architect peers, support, product management, finance, legal, etc.).
- Actively participate and speak at regional marketing events and conferences.
- Travel is expected to be 40-60% to engage with partners, customers, and prospects in person.
Minimum & Preferred Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of operational and/or selling experience in endpoint operations or security
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing or customer support positions
- Significant software pre-sales or related value-based technical selling expertise in very large enterprise environments
- Experience presenting at multiple levels, from C-Suite to Solution Users
- A demonstrated track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and producing successful outcomes
- Broad knowledge of the IT security, operations, and compliance space and products
- Deep knowledge with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- Endpoint Security
- IT Operations Management
- Regulatory Compliance
- Broad knowledge of scripting languages is a plus
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Naturally team-oriented with a mission-first attitude
- BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience required

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $385,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
