Job Description
The ERM Frameworks Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all relevant Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk appetite, and risk tolerance. This senior-level role will ensure these frameworks align with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The ERM Frameworks Lead will report to the Global Head of ERM and play a critical role in embedding robust risk management practices across the organization.
You Will:
Framework Development and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve ERM frameworks, including KRIs, RCSAs, risk appetite, and risk tolerance.
- Ensure that all frameworks are aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Create detailed documentation and guidelines for each framework to ensure consistent application across the organization.
Key Risk Indicators (KRIs):
- Design and establish KRIs to monitor and report on the organization’s risk exposure.
- Collaborate with business units to identify relevant KRIs and integrate them into the ERM framework.
- Regularly review and update KRIs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs):
- Oversee the development and execution of RCSAs across the organization.
- Ensure that RCSAs are conducted consistently and comprehensively, identifying key risks and controls.
- Provide training and support to business units on RCSA processes and best practices.
Risk Appetite and Tolerance:
- Define and articulate the organization’s risk appetite and risk tolerance levels.
- Ensure these levels are integrated into decision-making processes and align with strategic objectives.
- Monitor adherence to established risk appetite and tolerance levels, reporting any breaches or concerns.
Reporting and Communication:
- Working with the Governance Lead, prepare comprehensive risk management reports for senior leadership, the board, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop high-quality, visually appealing presentations to communicate complex risk management concepts.
- Ensure effective communication of ERM frameworks and their importance to non-risk experts within the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior leaders and business units to promote a risk-aware culture.
- Facilitate risk assessment workshops and training sessions to ensure stakeholders understand and effectively use ERM frameworks.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate data analytics into ERM frameworks, enhancing their effectiveness.
- Compliance and Regulatory Alignment:
- Ensure all ERM frameworks comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and adjust frameworks as necessary to maintain compliance.
Qualifications
You Have:
- At least 10-12 years of experience in risk management or related roles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing ERM frameworks, including KRIs, RCSAs, risk appetite, and risk tolerance.
- Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language.
- Proficiency in using advanced presentation tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
This role is critical to ensuring that the organization’s ERM frameworks are robust, aligned with strategic objectives, and effectively communicated, supporting a culture of proactive risk management.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone B: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone C: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone D: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
