Job Description
Team:
As a Staff Data Center ESG Analyst, you will be a member of the Data Center ESG team that partners and supports our ServiceNow Environmental Sustainability team & numerous external colo-provider partners. This is a global role and reports to the DCO ESG manager. We are an integral part of the ServiceNow Enterprise Cloud and are committed to implementing ESG practices that promote and support our investors, customers and employees.
What you get to do in this role:
- In this role, use your sustainability knowledge and expertise relating to ESG practices: to design and implement the tools & dashboards required to support reporting & analysis; to innovate and develop solutions; and, to communicate & evangelize our DCO results.
Responsibilities
- Policy, Process & KB Management: Create, maintain and update KB, Process & Policy documents as related to sustainability.
- Assist and support the ESG monthly, quarterly and annually (data center survey) data collection such as power, water, waste and LCA (hardware).
- Audit and compliance of ESG data collection to ensure quality and timeliness of data needs are met.
- Assist and support with NowDC dashboards as related to ESG activities.
- Liaise and support our corporate sustainability and ESG team with related sustainability requests or projects.
- Assist and support efforts with our Cloud supply chain to reduce carbon waste & Zero packaging initiatives globally.
- Lead training initiatives aimed at developing DCO sustainability training content.
- Create, support and assist with creation of PowerPoint slides that represent our DCO messages internal and external customers.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience in data center operations or engineering with focused knowledge of power/energy usage, water usage, renewable energy and construction related sustainability opportunities & challenges.
- Proficient in data analysis and research abilities with focus on details, rational thought, and problem-solving abilities for precise and dependable data analysis.
- Experience with producing written case studies, reports, resource documents and presentations.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the ability to deliver complicated information understandably and transparently.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to partner and collaborate with multiple teams in a large scale, distributed environment is required to be effective in this role.
