Job Description

Position Overview:
The Senior Specialist for Corporate Communications Germany is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s communication strategy across Germany, as part of the EMEA Communications team and reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications for Central EMEA. This involves managing external communications, enhancing the company’s brand presence, and driving engagement through various channels. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in corporate communications, public relations, and social media, with a proven ability to align communication efforts to business goals in the German market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage integrated communications program in Germany, including public relations, corporate and executive social media and German-language blog content to drive positive awareness for ServiceNow in market

  • Oversee collaborations with local communication agency and the EMEA hub teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.

  • Support Germany leadership participation in key industry forums like Bitkom and other strategic events.

  • Ad-hoc support with employee-facing events and communications

  • Work with the marketing team to align communication strategies with marketing efforts, ensuring cohesive branding and message consistency across all activities.

  • Build a proactive customer and partner communications program, collaborating with customer advocacy teams to amplify success stories and case studies.

  • Support on Germany issues management, working with EMEA and global comms, while protecting and enhancing the company's reputation in the German market.

Qualifications

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Native-level fluency in German and professional fluency in English.
  • Growth mindset, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and creativity in managing communications from strategy to execution
  • Ability to build relationships with top-tier business and trade media, as well as industry influencers.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful PR campaigns and high-quality content, such as blogs, press releases, and executive communication materials.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of public relations and corporate communications experience, preferably within an agency and/or in-house role in Germany.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing communications, influencer engagement, and media relations in Germany.
  • Passion for creating compelling narratives, including customer success stories, that drive engagement and influence.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, and external agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to align communication initiatives with business and marketing objectives.
  • Strong experience in public relations, corporate communications, and managing German-specific communications programs, including social media strategy and content creation.
