Job Description
Vice President, Enterprise Application Security
ServiceNow is seeking a high energy, high EQ Enterprise Application Security Leader who thrives in a highly cross-functional, rapid velocity environment. As a direct report to CISO, the Vice President of Application Security is responsible for driving scale, transforming culture, and designing end-to-end global enterprise security solutions, technologies, and strategies across a broad set of security disciplines providing an integrated security ecosystem blanket to deter, detect, defend, and respond to ServiceNow’s business impacting security, operational security, and risk issues.
The Role:
- Consults with the Chief Security Officer and Enterprise and Product Leaders and customers and to determine solutions that proactively manage and reduce operational risk to the company and products, make security a differentiator in the market, address emerging quality, control, risk, and governance issues to help the company achieve competitive advantage in the marketplace and the company’s ability to operate.
- Maintains a strong working relationship within the Security Organization, as well as Product, Product and Enterprise Leaders to partner in the delivery of technical programs, integrated and operational product and application security, go-to-market security services that have product and data related impact.
- Develops, mentors, and motivates highly effective employees and leaders within their organization.
- Leverages internal and external relationships and influence throughout ServiceNow to ensure success.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Extensive technical experience leading Secure SDLC, SecurityDevelopment and Testing, DevSecOps, Security Research, Product Review, etc.
- Previous background in software development and engineering.
- 15+ experience leading a security application development engineering organization and securing the overall enterprise and security posture in a large-scale environment ($15B+ Rev.)
- 15+ years of experience in a global leadership product role driving sophisticated, enterprise security products and solutions with a focus on designing and driving innovation and improvements.
- 15+ years of experience driving security product vision, design roadmaps, and digital design transformation and products.
- Subject matter expertise in cybersecurity within cloud, enterprise, and across industry platforms, including strategic and tactical security operations, security product solutions, and highly complex security programs.
- Strong influence and leadership skills including the ability to motivate and lead cross functional executive, management, and individual contributor teams independently.
- Experience and ability to help coordinate response and defensive actions over a variety of security disciplines and disseminate technical information as appropriate in support of an organization’s critical business, go to market, and operational infrastructure needs.
- Experience with managing product lifecycle, including threat modeling, vulnerability management and end-of-life considerations In-depth knowledge of technology, security, risk, and compliance best practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of zero trust concepts, enterprise systems, cloud solutions and IT/security technologies.
- Expert skills in technical platform assurance, operations program assurance, application security program execution including security development lifecycle operations and enhancements, conducting technical analysis of security and business problems, provide world class security design, engineering, and consulting services.
- Experience with ServiceNow products is a plus.
- Experience with advanced AI technologies is a plus.
- Experience in designing in SaaS, PaaS, Cloud technologies
- Experience working with Agile teams in a high-growth environment.
- Extensive experience in organization vision development, driving organization shift.
- Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and issues to leadership teams in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner.
- Highly skilled at working cross functionally with technology, engineering, and product teams to create, implement and evolve digital solutions for employee personas.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; Masters preferred.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $248,100 - $421,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
