Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About the Role
As a Named Account Executive for Public Sector Netherlands, you are the primary Salesforce representative for our entire portfolio of products across Local Government accounts in the Netherlands — including municipalities, provinces, regional authorities, and public service bodies. You own the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to close, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within these organizations.
Basic Requirements:
- Own and grow a account portfolio across Dutch Local Government
- Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned to each customer's digital transformation priorities
- Drive new business and expansion revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities across the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, Digital, Slack, Public Sector Solutions)
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CxOs, digital transformation leads, procurement officers, and IT leaders
- Collaborate with Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Professional Services, Business Value Selling and Partner Ecosystem to co-create compelling solutions tailored to public sector needs
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes — including Tender/RFP
- Accurately forecast pipeline, revenue and renewals in line with business cadences, while creating satisfied customers.
- Represent Salesforce at industry events, government networks, and digital government initiatives in the Netherlands
- Evangelize the salesforce vision through product demonstrations, in-market events, and account specific initiatives
- Generate short term results whilst maintaining a long term perspective to improve overall revenue generation
Required Skills:
- A proven track record of sales outperformance across Public Sector Netherlands, with specialized expertise in Local Government.
- Successful history of net new business sales (selling direct & indirect), with the ability to prove consistent delivery against targets.
- Proven experience of selling enterprise software of SaaS solutions, ideally business applications gained within a major software vendor or system integrator.
- Strong understanding of the Dutch government landscape — how municipalities and provinces operate, their procurement processes, and current digital transformation agendas (e.g., Common Ground, VNG, BIO)
- Proven ability to navigate complex, consensus-driven buying organizations and long sales cycles
- Fluency in Dutch and English (both required)
- Executive presence and communication skills — you're as comfortable in a boardroom as you are in a discovery call
- Self-starter mentality with strong commercial mindset
- Credibility at all levels and evidence of building positive relationships internally and with the customer.
- Eager to contribute to the Salesforce culture and join the Ohana.
Why Salesforce
- Join a mission-driven company helping government organizations deliver better citizen services
- Work with Salesforce's purpose-built Public Sector Solutions platform
- Competitive compensation including equity, strong benefits, and Ohana culture
- Clear career development path within one of the world's leading technology companies
