Location: San Francisco, CA; Raleigh, NC; or Bellevue, WA
- Lead architecture discussions and technical strategy, proactively resolving systemic issues and making data-driven decisions that support long-term product stability and scalability
- Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering with product priorities, coordinate delivery, and communicate execution risks
- Mentor and grow your engineering talent — providing technical guidance and career development, empowering teams to self-coordinate, and actively participating in hiring
- Stay hands-on with technical work when needed, contributing directly to keep your skills sharp and support the team
- You have 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 3+ years directly managing and mentoring high-performing software engineering teams
- You have a deep technical background in scalable, highly available platform development, with a focus on Java/Java Virtual Machine (JVM) languages and modern cloud architecture
- You have experience leading teams and/or hands-on work with a major public cloud platform — Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — along with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- You have a proven track record building reliable, self-healing services with robust automation and end-to-end service ownership
- You've led complex programs and managed cross-functional stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
- You've driven strategy around and actively used open-source technologies
- You have a strong foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with an emphasis on secure coding practices and code quality
- You have hands-on proficiency with AI development tools, with enough technical depth to evaluate architectural integrity and AI-generated output
- You have experience assessing candidates' ability to formulate effective prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and orchestrate multi-agent workflows

The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually.

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
