UX Visual Designer, Senior - Design Systems

Job Category: User Interface & User Experience Location: San Francisco Bay Area — Hybrid Job Type: Full Time

The Experience

The UX Visual Designer, Senior - Design Systems role sits within our User Interface & User Experience org, working on the dedicated design system for Informatica products — the design standards that ensure consistency and quality across that product suite. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with hybrid flexibility, you will shape the visual foundation of our cloud data management products, driving accessibility and coherence across every product surface. As AI redefines how people interact with software, you will be at the center of building the design system that makes that future look and feel exceptional.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

* Drive the evolution of the dedicated design system for Informatica products by delivering high-quality visual assets — UI mockups, icons, illustrations, and component specifications — that set the standard for consistency and accessibility across all products.
* Partner with UX product designers, visual design leads, and UI engineers to validate, scale, and ship design solutions that work across responsive and accessible surfaces.
* Leverage AI-powered design tools — including Figma Make, generative AI, and emerging prototyping tools — to prototype, animate, and extend design system components, accelerating the team's output and exploring new interaction patterns.
* Champion design standards across product teams through design reviews, constructive feedback, and implementation support with dev and QA.

You're Our Person If...

* You have 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces for enterprise web products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design craft, component-level thinking, and design system contribution.
* You bring deep knowledge of responsive, accessible, and inclusive design — and can articulate those decisions clearly in component guidelines and specs.
* You are fluent in AI-assisted design workflows and understand how tools like Figma and generative AI can accelerate design system work.
* A design related degree required.

Even Better If...

* You have hands-on experience with Figma Make, Claude, or similar AI prototyping tools.
* You have working knowledge of CSS and can bridge the gap between design specs and front-end implementation.
* You have experience writing or governing component usage documentation at scale.
* You bring a user-centered design perspective that considers the full range of users, including those with accessibility needs.
