The Senior Benefit Specialist is a hybrid role, leading benefit administration, employee support, providing excellent employee support. This role also serves as a key compliance steward, ensuring that benefit programs, HR policies, and people practices align with applicable regulations and internal governance standards. Leverages best practices and consistency in process design to ensure accurate and impactful application of benefit programs and procedures while remaining true to Salesforce culture. As a People Advisor lead, they are responsible for enabling them to answer to employee queries across multiple functions efficiently and correctly, always with the Employee Experience in mind.
Responsibilities
Benefits Administration and Compliance
- Function as a thought partner with global stakeholders to create seamless, end-to-end employee experiences for complex, high visibility Benefit programs, always with compliance in mind.
- Assist the business to form/improve process and systems solutions that embed scalable frameworks/methodologies to satisfy both tactical and strategic business needs using AI technology
- Serve as the primary liaison between Benefit vendors
- Interpret and apply understanding of Employee Benefits, Salesforce policies and practices, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, and clarification for employees
- Track, report and analyse case trends utilising Service Cloud, a Salesforce technology-based case management system
- Manage or participate on special projects/programs requiring Benefit department stakeholder input
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Audit teams to identify, assess, and mitigate HR-related compliance risks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures, and program guidelines to support audit readiness
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting HR and benefits, proactively recommending policy updates as needed
- Support internal and external audits, including responding to data requests and ensuring records are maintained in accordance with data privacy requirements
People Advisor Lead
- Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for employees and managers on complex HR matters, including performance, employee relations, and organisational change
- Coach and guide managers on best practices for employee engagement, performance management, and career development
- Drive continuous improvement of people advisory processes, ensuring they are inclusive, equitable, and scalable across regions
Requirements
・Minimum 3 years' experience in human resources, including benefit administration, vendor management, and HR advisory experience
・Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
・Prior experience working in a centralised human resource or shared services function preferred
・Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance frameworks, and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
・Ability to build, develop, implement and engage in new service delivery approaches
・Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully within ambiguity, multiple priorities, and a constantly changing environment
・Adept understanding of client motivations and business pain points; leverages inputs to influence business decisions
・Experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment, preferably in a high-growth technology company
・Ability to make decisions guided by policies, practices, procedures, and business plan
・Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve delivery of services
・Works independently and collaboratively; receives moderate guidance on day-to-day work and deliverables
