About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of financial rigor and operational excellence for Salesforce's Data Solutions organization — one of the most strategically important teams in the company. As Senior Manager, Strategy and Operations, you'll own the financial and capacity levers that keep the business healthy: managing budgets, shaping workforce plans, and driving the operational rhythms that enable smart, data-backed decisions. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leaders across Data Solutions and Finance, turning complex numbers into clear narratives and translating strategy into execution.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive budget and forecast cycles — own the end-to-end budget process from annual planning and quarterly forecasts through month-end close; maintain financial models and proactively flag risks and opportunities

  • Lead capacity planning — model headcount, manage contractor relationships, and inform digital/AI labor investment decisions, balancing resources against strategic goals and budget constraints

  • Own external spend management — manage vendor contracts, PO tracking, and procurement partnerships to ensure spend is optimized, compliant, and tied to business priorities

  • Build financial reporting and insights — create and maintain dashboards that give leaders real-time visibility into spend health, actuals vs. plan, capitalization, and variance; translate data into executive-ready narratives

  • Oversee T&E management — manage travel and expense budgets, ensure policy compliance, and surface opportunities to optimize spend across the org

  • Run core business rhythms — lead operational cadences including planning cycles, leadership reviews, and V2MOM/OKR tracking with a finance-forward lens

  • Partner with functional leaders — serve as the day-to-day financial and operational partner enabling fast, informed decision-making across the organization

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in finance, strategy, business operations, or a related field — FP&A, consulting, or operations roles in tech are strongly preferred

  • Deep experience managing budgets, external spend, and financial forecasting in a complex, matrixed organization

  • Experience with capacity planning — including headcount modeling and emerging digital/AI labor frameworks

  • Proven ability to build and own financial models and dashboards end-to-end in Google Sheets, Tableau or comparable tools

  • Experience using AI tools or automation in financial and operational systems

  • Strong understanding of T&E management and corporate spend policy

  • Skilled at translating complex financial data into clear, concise executive narratives

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to risk identification

  • Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and HR partners

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a technology organization

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, or Coupa

  • Background in goal planning, OKR frameworks, or business partnering to senior leadership

What's in It for You

Data Solutions is central to Salesforce's AI strategy — building the data infrastructure and insights that power Agentforce and the world's leading CRM. In this role, you'll have direct access to senior leadership and a front-row seat to the company's most consequential growth priorities. You'll do work that matters, build skills that scale, and partner with a team that values rigor, curiosity, and getting things done.
