Role Description:

The Senior Specialist, Employee Communications Japan, Korea & Taiwan is a passionate and creative individual capable of developing, planning, and executing strategic internal communications plans and memorable programs that keep employees across Japan, Korea and Taiwan informed and drive alignment and connection with our business and culture. Managing English to Japanese and Japanese to English translations for various internal communications will also be required.

This individual will report to the Director, Employee Communications Japan, Korea & Taiwan and will serve as a communications partner for our business stakeholders – such as our Sales, Human Resources (Employee Success), Finance, Health and Safety team, etc. on planning and executing their respective internal communication activities across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Communications Partner to Business Teams: Partner with business stakeholders to understand upcoming initiatives, develop integrated communication plans, and execute them to provide the best employee experience. This includes drafting organizational announcements, presentations, messages, talking points, Slack/email copies, FAQs, and other support materials.

  • Content Creation: Craft memorable, engaging, cross-channel communications and campaigns (Slack, videos, emails, podcasts, digital screens, blog posts, etc.), aligning with our company values, culture, and style to drive awareness and inspire employees to take action.

  • Localization: Translating various internal communications, proofreading and editing final translated content when AI tools or vendor is used, and ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained

  • Executing Events: Plan and execute events/calls for all employees such as All Regional Calls, Executive Town Halls, and other in-person/ hybrid events, utilising technology for engaging experiences.

  • Operations and Reporting: Work effectively with the International Corporate Communications team and the Global Communication organization through shared processes at all levels within the team and the broader organization. Track campaign results and work with our team and business partners to apply key learnings into future plans.

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications or a related discipline; Experience in a high-tech or other fast-paced, disruptive global environment (“Gaishikei”) in Japan a plus.

  • Ability to speak and write in both Japanese and English (business level) or Korean and English (business level)

  • Experience translating written communications into Japanese and English and unafraid of using new technology like AI to craft compelling messaging and execute innovative ideas

  • Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and create clear communications

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills, experience communicating with senior leader to management levels preferred

  • Ability to multi-task and sort things out according to the priority

  • Analytical skills

  • Proactive and results oriented

  • Ability to collaborate with a global team

  • Not opposed to a healthy dose of fun

Desired:

  • Fluency in Taiwanese Mandarin language (in addition to Japanese and English or Korean and English) a plus

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
