About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Overview of the Role:
This role is part of the Salesforce Security organization, where we protect one of the world's most trusted platforms and the customers who rely on it. As the voice of Salesforce Security to the outside world, you will shape how the security community — from chief information security officers (CISOs) to practitioners and prospective talent — understands and trusts our work. You'll drive the strategy behind our technical blog, external speaking presence, and security industry narrative at a pivotal moment for AI-driven security. This role is based in San Francisco or Bellevue/Seattle.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Salesforce Security's external technical narrative, partnering with Security leadership and Corporate Communications to shape public positioning around AI-driven threats, agentic security, and cloud security at scale.
- Launch and lead a dedicated Salesforce Security technical blog, developing a content calendar with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), Product Security, Enterprise Security, and other security specialists across Salesforce.
- Manage the full conference and speaking program lifecycle — from call for papers (CFP) submissions and speaker prep to talking point development and post-event amplification — prioritizing Tier 1 events such as RSA Conference, Black Hat, DEF CON, and Gartner Security Summit.
- Cultivate relationships with security journalists, analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC), and influencers by identifying coverage gaps and advocating for expanded share of voice in partnership with Corporate Communications and Analyst Relations.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in security communications, technical content strategy, or a related field, with a track record of translating complex security topics for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage cross-functional content programs, working across engineering, legal review (PR/Legal), and communications teams.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience producing or overseeing technical content for security practitioners and industry publications.
- Experience managing external speaking programs, including conference submissions, speaker coaching, and stakeholder coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce products and the broader cloud security landscape.
- Existing relationships with security media, analysts, or the practitioner community.
- Experience working within or alongside a corporate communications or analyst relations function.
- Background in cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, or product security as a practitioner or communicator.
