About the Position

We're looking for a dynamic Marketing Cloud Account Executive to join our team, focusing on the Education sector across the UK and Ireland. This isn't just a sales role — it's a chance to be a true subject matter expert and trusted advisor, evangelising cutting-edge marketing, data, and AI platform solutions that deliver personalised, proactive engagement for students, staff, and stakeholders alike.
Education is a sector undergoing significant digital transformation, with immense potential to leverage proactive, personalised communications to revolutionise student recruitment, retention, alumni engagement, and institutional trust. We're seeking an experienced, quota-carrying sales executive who can seamlessly integrate with broader account teams while also generating exciting new opportunities as an individual contributor, focusing on the full Salesforce Marketing and Commerce technology stack — with a keen eye on driving adoption of Data Cloud and Agentforce.
What You'll Do
- Be the subject matter expert for Education customers across UKI, demonstrating how they can leverage Salesforce Marketing solutions to drive student success, operational efficiency, and institutional growth
- Develop and execute a territory plan to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business within the Education market segment while growing and expanding existing Salesforce footprints
- Act as a trusted advisor to CMOs, marketing operations leaders, heads of digital, and student experience executives — bringing strategic insight on how agentic AI is reshaping engagement, personalisation, and campaign execution
- Educate the broader Account and Territory teams on the full capabilities of the Salesforce Marketing and Commerce technology stack, including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce
- Lead deep discovery sessions to connect customer challenges to the full platform — including Agentforce for Marketing, Journey Builder, Data Cloud, Einstein Personalisation, and more
- Articulate and sell the value of agentic use cases — from autonomous campaign orchestration and real-time audience segmentation to AI-driven content generation and next-best-action communications
- Help customers navigate the trusted enterprise AI conversation: data governance, privacy, zero-copy architecture, and how Salesforce's Einstein Trust Layer enables safe AI deployment at scale
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic networking, proactive outreach, and prospecting, highlighting the transformative power of Agentic Technology and Gen-AI solutions
- Own the entire sales cycle — from initial lead generation and deal strategy to pricing, packaging, and deal closure
- Drive brand awareness, execute impactful campaigns, and generate leads by leveraging your network and engaging with relevant Education sector associations and events
- Build and maintain strong executive relationships across Marketing, CRM, Digital, and IT stakeholders
- Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Alliance partners to design compelling, customer-specific agentic marketing visions
- Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting and rigorous CRM hygiene in Salesforce
- Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term retention
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of B2B SaaS sales or product leadership experience in martech, CRM, or digital marketing technology
- Proven track record in software or technology sales, account management, and enterprise software sales
- Demonstrated ability to sell transformational, platform-level deals — not just point solutions
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing concepts: autonomous agents, generative content, predictive personalisation, and customer data platforms
- Comfort leading trusted enterprise AI conversations — including data privacy, compliance, responsible AI, and governance frameworks — with both technical and business audiences
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a full-cycle AE role with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for translating complex technical concepts into compelling business value
- Ability to develop detailed business cases and service requirements, while effectively crafting and leading strategic alliances
- Exceptional discovery, storytelling, and executive presentation skills — you paint a vision, build trust, and close
- Possession of a robust Sales Methodology education
- Knowledge of or experience with Agentforce for Marketing (or equivalent AI marketing automation platforms) strongly preferred
- Salesforce CRM proficiency preferred; Marketing Cloud or Agentforce certifications a strong plus
- Prior experience in the Education sector is not a prerequisite — we value diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives
- Fluent in English
