Job Description
Strategy & Analytics plays a critical role for the Global Solutions Center of Excellence (CoE) to help evolve the Solutions Organization into the next generation of talent, drive alignment between Product and Sales, and accelerate Salesforce's path to $60B.
As we invest in a data-driven approach to Solution Engineering, measuring and communicating impact is critical. The Analyst, Solution Engineering CoE will serve as a key analytical contributor supporting the broader Solutions Engineering organization — providing reporting, insights, and operational support that enable our teams to perform at their best.
This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards, and data infrastructure that help leadership understand the health and effectiveness of the Solutions Engineering organization. You will work across a range of topics — from team performance and pipeline analytics to AI tooling adoption and SE productivity — providing the insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Framework & Infrastructure: Partner with the Global Analytics team to create a "single source of truth" for Solution Engineering data. Design and maintain the datasets, views, and data pipelines required to track SE program performance.
Reporting & Dashboarding: Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards (Tableau, CRM Analytics) that provide real-time visibility into program health for stakeholders ranging from operational leads to executive leadership.
SE Performance Insights: Analyze Solutions Engineering activity and outcomes to surface trends in productivity, pipeline influence, and engagement. Correlate SE activity with deal outcomes (conversion rates, cycle time, ACV) to validate organizational impact.
Tools & AI Enablement Analytics: Support the Solutions Tools Program by analyzing adoption rates and usage patterns across SE tooling and AI-assisted workflows. Provide data-driven recommendations to support investment and enablement decisions.
Strategic Recommendations: Translate complex data into actionable insights. Regularly prepare analysis and recommendations for Solutions CoE & Solutions leadership to support investment planning and resource optimization.
Business Reviews: Assist in developing data narratives and presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive updates, ensuring data accuracy and compelling storytelling.
Process Optimization: Proactively identify gaps in data collection processes and propose operational changes to improve data quality and reliability.
Skills/Expertise Required
Data Visualization & Storytelling: Strong proficiency in building dashboards in Tableau and CRM Analytics/Einstein Analytics. Ability to convey data narratives clearly via slide presentations (Google Slides/PowerPoint).
Analytical Rigor: 5+ years of overall experience with 2+ years of in quantitative analysis, business operations, or a related field. Ability to structure problems and propose data-driven solutions.
Technical Proficiency: Experience aggregating and manipulating datasets using SQL, SOQL, or similar tools. Proficiency in Snowflake for data querying and exploration is required. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required.
Operational Business Acumen: Ability to connect data to business outcomes. Exposure to Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, or a Solutions Engineering environment is a plus.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with both technical teams (IT, Data Science) and non-technical stakeholders (Sales/Solutions Leadership) to move analytics projects forward.
Self-Starter: High degree of motivation and intellectual curiosity. Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving projects from idea to execution with moderate supervision.
Desired Experience:
Hands-on experience with Tableau for dashboard development and data storytelling is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data querying and pipeline support is highly preferred.
Experience with Salesforce object architecture and reporting is a strong plus.
Background in management consulting, finance, sales strategy, or solutions engineering is preferred.
