About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Description
Salesforce's pre-sales Technical Architects (TA's) are the solutions team members who know what's possible and how to make it happen, no matter how complex the challenge appears to be. In the ANZ Advanced AI Technology team, our TAs sit at the bleeding edge of innovation—bridging the gap between enterprise data ecosystems and autonomous, agentic AI.
As a Lead TA in this specialist org, you serve as the technical authority on Agentforce and Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud). You are a hands-on leader who can move fluidly between high-level strategy conversations with CDOs/CTOs about AI governance and deep-tech sessions with software engineers about RAG pipelines, reasoning engines and multi-agent orchestration. You are not afraid to dig into the inner workings of our platform to de-risk complex deals, and you thrive on translating the "Art of the Possible" into production-ready architectures.
Your Impact - Responsibilities
- Architecting Autonomy: Design and validate complex, end-to-end agentic architectures that leverage the synergy between Predictive (ML), Generative (LLMs), and Agentic (Action-oriented) AI.
- Trusted Advisor: Act as a technical consultant to CIO/CDO/CISO personas, guiding them through AI/Data strategy, interoperability, and the "Trust Layer" requirements for enterprise AI.
- Hands-on Validation: Lead and execute high-impact Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and "Agentforce Workshops," translating complex customer requirements into working prototypes in customer sandboxes.
- Data Strategy Mastery: Own the technical design of Data Cloud as the foundational layer for AI, integrating with enterprise systems like Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery using Zero-ETL and real-time patterns.
- Deal Strategy: Partner with Account Executives and Solution Engineers to shape technical close strategies grounded in architectural feasibility for emerging AI capabilities.
- Thought Leadership: Produce high-fidelity technical assets—architecture diagrams, reference models, and demos—to enable the broader Salesforce community on the latest AI trends.
- Product Influence: Collaborate closely with Salesforce Product & Engineering to provide "Voice of the Customer" feedback, influencing the roadmap for Agentforce and Data Cloud.
Baseline Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a Technical Architect, Data Engineering, or AI/ML-focused Solution Engineering role.
- Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of enterprise data management, including identity resolution, data modeling, and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Coding & Scripting: Strong proficiency with Python, SQL, or Apex, and a willingness to get hands-on with code to build rapid prototypes and RAG pipelines.
- AI & Systems Design: Proven understanding of the architectural principles of LLMs, vector databases, prompt engineering, and the orchestration of autonomous agents.
- Communication: Elite storytelling and presentation skills; able to translate complex AI workflows into clear business outcomes for executives, while maintaining deep technical credibility with data scientists and engineers
- Cloud Infrastructure: Solid understanding of cloud-based platforms (SaaS/PaaS) and security frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to AI and Data privacy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent STEM field.
Preferred Requirements
- Agentic AI Expertise: Experience building or designing "Agentic" systems where AI moves beyond chat to execute multi-step business processes.
- Data Ecosystems: Hands-on experience with external data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
- Salesforce Knowledge: Familiarity with the Salesforce metadata framework and existing certifications (e.g., Data Cloud Consultant, AI Associate) are a major plus.
- Segment Focus: Experience in Enterprise or Commercial sectors in the ANZ market, specifically handling high-maturity AI customers.
