- Drive new business and expand existing accounts within a defined Telco territory, with a focus on generating strong annual growth in revenue and bookings.
- Build and execute a strategic account plan tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities in the Telecommunications sector — including BSS/OSS transformation, customer churn reduction, 5G monetization, and digital-first customer engagement.
- Set proper expectations and forecast your business accurately.
- Manage the overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
- Hold yourself accountable to quota attainment. Meet and exceed pipeline generation and sales goals.
- Establish trusted relationships with key internal teams including Telco industry marketing, product development, solution engineering, strategic operations, and customer success.
- Implement an effective operating model and ensure internal processes are followed. Drive adoption of our sales methodology and tools.
- Align product, customer success, and professional services teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for Telco customers.
- Stay current on Telco industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory dynamics to bring relevant insights to customers.
- Maintain and deepen key customer relationships; develop and execute strategies for expanding Salesforce's footprint across your accounts.
- 8+ years of experience as an Account Executive with a strong preference for Telecommunications industry experience (CSPs, cable, satellite, or media).
- Deep understanding of Telco business challenges — including subscriber lifecycle management, network monetization, digital transformation, and customer experience.
- Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals in complex, enterprise software sales.
- Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal, and referenceable customers at the C-level within Telco organizations.
- Proven success navigating and influencing within a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience leading comprehensive pipeline generation strategy and execution.
- Strong operational and analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to sales.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex software solutions — ideally CRM, BSS, or digital engagement platforms — to senior Telco executives.
- Clear and structured career path into Senior AE and leadership positions within Salesforce.
