As a Lead Specialist SE, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our most strategic customers. You will combine deep industry knowledge with technical expertise to design solutions that deliver measurable business value and transform how organizations engage with their customers and employees.Responsibilities
Partner with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end solution engagements.
Lead discovery sessions with customer executives and stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
Design and deliver presentations, demos, and solution concepts that align Slack capabilities with customer outcomes.
Clearly articulate Slack differentiation and advantages, ensuring customer confidence.
Lead pilots and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), providing technical guidance and ensuring successful outcomes.
Act as an industry thought leader, shaping solution narratives with deep customer and market insights.
Represent Slack at events, webinars, and executive briefings, showcasing innovation and value.
Support pipeline generation through solution workshops, proposals, and RFP responses.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and partner teams to influence roadmap and deliver customer impact.
Mentor junior SEs and contribute to the Specialist SE community, fostering an inclusive, learning-first culture.
Qualifications Required:
10+ years in solutions engineering, enterprise software consulting, or digital transformation roles (SaaS/cloud preferred).
Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills; ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
Proven track record navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise buying cycles (CxO, IT, and line-of-business leaders).
Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving and solution design capabilities.
Interest in AI, data, and automation and their impact on the future of work.
Strong collaboration, time management, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Preferred:
Deep hands-on Slack knowledge — workflows, integrations, admin, and Slack AI
Prior experience in the collaboration/productivity tools space (Teams, Google Workspace, etc.)
Knowledge of Salesforce platform and Agentforce positioning
Experience building enablement content or reusable SE assets
Exposure to AI automation or agentic workflow use cases
Experience managing or mentoring junior SEs
