You and your team will lead the creation of AI-first experiences and help shape an AI-led development process — leveraging AI to accelerate discovery, prototyping, iteration, and delivery, while keeping human-centric design at the core. You will distill complex problems into clear, intelligent, and scalable solutions that combine automation with thoughtful human judgment. You are excited about the intersection of design, data, and AI, and understand how to harness emerging technologies responsibly to create intuitive, trustworthy, and inclusive experiences. You champion experimentation, continuous learning, and modern design workflows, while ensuring that user empathy and clarity remain foundational.
Team Details : Missionforce
Missionforce is Salesforce's newest initiative bringing AI-powered innovation to organizations operating in high-stakes, mission-critical environments—including U.S. defense, intelligence.As part of this team, you'll help build secure, Agentforce-driven solutions that transform how missions are executed—from logistics and resource coordination to personnel support and real-time decision-making.
The ideal candidate enjoys creating experiences with technology, hacking on new projects, and intensely working on high-value, strategic initiatives under tight time constraints. You will have direct access to customer executives and Salesforce executive management, while working closely with the Salesforce Product and Sales organizations. You must have excellent communication skills, energy, and thoughtfulness to build and deliver the best in the world for our customers.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of talented designers
Recruit, nurture, and retain best-in-class talent
Influence and compellingly communicate the vision to a wide variety of key stakeholders
Build strong partnerships across disciplines, such as Design, Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing
Lead the creation of AI-first, intelligent experiences that combine automation with human judgment
Embed AI into the design and development lifecycle — leveraging AI for discovery, rapid prototyping, iteration, and validation
Solve complex UX design problems across multiple channels, including conversational, adaptive, and generative interfaces
Collaborate closely with product owners/managers (POs & PMs) to identify AI-powered product opportunities and validate assumptions through user research, experimentation, and data insights
Partner with Engineering and Data teams to ensure responsible, scalable, and performant AI implementations
Reinforce a design-thinking culture that leverages the best product, technology, and innovative talent
Champion human-centric, ethical, and inclusive AI design principles
Own and evolve application interfaces, ensuring consistency with SLDS and platform standards
Work with developers and QE to deliver polished, high-quality final products
Evangelize SLDS interface guidelines, design patterns, and scalable AI interaction frameworks
Experience / Skills Required
Experience managing an entire product lifecycle from concept to release
12+ years of experience designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams from start to finish
3+ years of management experience
Strong passion for managing and mentoring designers
Proven experience designing AI-first, data-driven, or intelligent product experiences
Understanding of AI-led product development workflows, including experimentation, rapid iteration, and human-in-the-loop systems
Familiarity with generative AI, conversational interfaces, adaptive systems, or agentic experiences
