What is an Account Solution Engineer?

Also known as a “Presales”, “Solution Advisor”, “Sales Consultant,” or “Sales Engineer” the Account Solution Engineer is responsible for owning the solutions throughout the sales cycle and delivering thought leadership to companies to transform their customer’s experience. The Account SE is an expert who works alongside their colleagues, participates in building our team culture and supports their aligned sales team to create solutions for prospects and customers.
To ensure our impact is both deep and relevant, our Solution Engineers specialize by industry. For this role, you will focus on the Manufacturing vertical in the Netherlands—working with process and discrete manufacturers to optimize operations, enhance supply chain visibility, and drive digital transformation.
To accomplish this, you should have a strong desire to set the vision translating business objectives into enticing and practical recommendations. The Account SE acts as a trusted advisor to our customers while aiding the customer’s transformational journey.

Your Responsibilities

  • Enable Digital Transformation: Partner with customers to shape their digital journeys using market-leading CRM and AI Agent technology tailored to industry needs.

  • Trusted Advisory: Listen to customer needs and translate business challenges—from production planning to aftermarket service—into recommendations that demonstrate clear value to both business leaders and IT stakeholders.

  • Solution Orchestration: Coordinate with internal teams to design tailored solution concepts and technical Proof of Concepts (POCs) that address real-world manufacturing challenges.

  • Technical Engagement: Build and share compelling demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of the Salesforce platform and our partner ecosystem, with a focus on manufacturing use cases.

  • Relationship Building: Present compelling solutions while developing industry expertise and articulating benefits to stakeholders at every level, from plant floor supervisors to C-level executives. Bridge the gap between initial vision and program execution by driving deeper platform adoption and measurable business impact.

  • Drive Value & Consumption
    Bridge the gap between vision and execution by ensuring customers maximize their investment. You will partner with Success Managers to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify underutilized features, and propose roadmap expansions that drive deeper platform adoption and measurable business impact.

  • Diverse Backgrounds Welcome: Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success. We are open to a variety of backgrounds for this role. Experience will be evaluated based on core proficiencies (e.g., extracurricular leadership, work experience, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Language & Location: Fluency in Dutch and English is required. Willing and able to travel occasionally throughout the Netherlands.

  • Salesforce Ecosystem: Experience with Salesforce (or similar) solutions (Sales, Service, Data 360, Agentforce,..). Salesforce certifications are a plus but not an absolute requirement.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with or an interest in manufacturing use cases, including production planning (S&OP), supply chain optimization, and digital twins.

  • Solution & Communication Skills: Ability to understand customer business goals and map those to the right technology solutions on the Salesforce platform and within our ecosystem of partners. Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • AI Literacy: Comfort and proficiency using AI assistants and tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Perplexity,...) to work more efficiently and deliver greater value.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing industry challenges like supply chain management or Industry 4.0 initiatives would be a plus.

  • Advanced Capabilities: Experience with data integration solutions (Data 360, ETL, data modeling), understanding of AI concepts (Predictive/Generative/Agentic), Data structures, IoT, and Business Analytics are considered a advantageous but not required.
