About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud Specialist to drive digital commerce transformation across our growing African markets. This role will play a pivotal part in expanding Salesforce's Commerce Cloud presence throughout Africa, working with enterprise customers to modernize their e-commerce platforms and drive business growth.
What You'll Do
Drive Commerce Cloud adoption across key African markets including South Africa, Northern Africa, Kenya and other emerging markets
Serve as the Commerce Cloud subject matter expert, partnering with account teams, solution engineers, and customer success teams
Build and maintain executive relationships with CIOs, CMOs, VPs of Digital, and C-level stakeholders across retail, consumer goods, and financial services sectors
Lead discovery and solution positioning for Commerce Cloud implementations, including B2C and B2B Commerce use cases
Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned to market priorities and growth objectives
Articulate the value of Commerce Cloud in supporting digital transformation, omnichannel experiences, and revenue growth
Collaborate with regional partners and system integrators to generate pipeline and accelerate deal cycles
Navigate complex buying processes across diverse African markets with varying regulatory and technical landscapes
Provide technical guidance on platform capabilities, integrations, and best practices
Support contract negotiations for new sales, expansions, and renewals
Travel regularly throughout Africa (estimated 30-40%) to engage customers and build relationships
Who You Are
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce platforms, or SaaS solutions
Proven track record of selling or implementing enterprise commerce solutions (Commerce Cloud, Magento, SAP Commerce, Shopify Plus, or similar)
Deep understanding of e-commerce concepts including product catalog management, order management, payment processing, and digital marketing
Experience working in or covering African markets, with understanding of regional business practices, payment systems (mobile money), and market dynamics
Strong executive presence with demonstrated success engaging VP and C-level stakeholders
Excellent communication skills in English (additional African languages a plus - French, Arabic, Portuguese, Swahili)
Technical fluency with ability to discuss APIs, integrations, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and enterprise architecture
Consultative approach with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Willingness to travel extensively across Africa
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud)

B2C Commerce Developer
B2C Commerce Architect
Administrator
AI Associate
Retail, Consumer Goods, or Financial Services industry experience in Africa
Experience working with African payment gateways, mobile money platforms (M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, etc.)
Understanding of African e-commerce landscape, including marketplaces, logistics challenges, and localization needs
Partner ecosystem experience working with system integrators and implementation partners
Familiarity with mobile-first commerce strategies relevant to African markets
