The Global ES (Employee Success) Operations team at Salesforce forms the operational core of our HR function, dedicated to ensuring a world-class employee experience. This team is responsible for delivering world-class HR services across all regions, managing the essential processes and systems that enable our global talent to thrive.

The Office of Employee Data team drives the strategy and execution of our people data programs, ensuring the integrity and usability of information through robust data governance, analysis, quality, and processing. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and supporting critical enterprise programs (M&A, G4G, Promos,..) and Operational excellence. Additionally documenting & maintaining data landscapes and executing efficient frameworks to assess data quality, compliance with governance policy and to drive data literacy for accurate Agentic outcomes. This role will help drive the scale and maturity of our ES data management practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides vision, direction on what data needs to be collected and how to collect it. Asks questions that get to the next level of insight or present data in a way which may be more intuitive or convey a measure.
  • Execute and oversee high-volume mass loads into Workday using EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders) for critical events such as Acquisitions (M&A), Reorganizations, and Annual Compensation cycles.
  • Document validation processes, findings, and methodologies to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Recommend and plan for improvements, enhancements, and new applications to the Workday system. Determine solutions and opportunities to meet emerging ES/business priorities and requirements.
  • Investigate the source of data quality errors, working across ES and IT/DET to understand process or system breakdowns. Recommend and help implement solutions to prevent future issues.
  • Ensure all data handling practices comply with SOX regulations and GDPR/Privacy standards. Maintain rigorous audit trails and documentation for all data transformations.
  • Provide critical operational and analytical support for ES programs, including due diligence tasks such as data room tracking, initial data analysis, and managing data requests from stakeholders.
  • Actively research for new enhancements and releases in Workday, and continually challenge decisions to deliver a Workday environment that is best aligned with the needs of a global company.
  • Shift the organization from reactive reporting to proactive insight. Advise stakeholders on what data should be collected to measure success effectively.
  • Network multi-functionally within ES - and beyond - finding opportunities to provide thought partnership for processes, procedures, and training that will shape the way the ES operates now and in the future.
  • Lead Data Management Workstreams, including managing large employee data sets with expertise in advanced Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., sorting, filtering, advanced formulas, and data analysis).
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to resolve conversion fallout and discrepancies, facilitating timely solutions and ensuring data integrity.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance validation processes and contribute to the development of best practices in data management area.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of operational or consultant experience in People Operations/Human Resources processes and HRIS Systems (Workday is a must).
  • Proven expertise in core HR functions and end-to-end processes, coupled with direct experience in an HR Operations or shared services environment.
  • Excellent work ethic: Exhibits ability to self-manage, scope, prioritize, and communicate operational work results and deadlines on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with basic Python and strong SQL skills to write scripts that automate data tasks, such as pulling data from different systems and cleaning it for analysis.
  • Expertise in Excel - including creating pivot reports, VLOOKUPs, and charts/graphs partnered with analytical and problem solving experience
  • Ability to prepare and structure data tables that are used to build and power Tableau dashboards.
  • Can work autonomously and make independent decisions to meet deliverables with minimal oversight.
