FKP delivers a highly available, scalable, secure platform enabling engineering teams to deploy and run workloads efficiently across thousands of nodes and clusters. As AI becomes core to our platform strategy, FKP is investing in data-driven intelligence, automated decisioning, predictive insights, and operational analytics to improve reliability, efficiency, and developer experience at massive scale.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Lead Data Scientist with strong AI and data engineering experience to drive intelligence within the FKP ecosystem. In this role, you will design and implement AI-driven capabilities that optimize platform performance, streamline operations, and enhance automation across Kubernetes, networking, capacity, and multi-cloud environments. You will work closely with SREs, platform engineers, architects, and product partners to convert platform telemetry and operational data into actionable insights, intelligent automation, and decision-support systems. This is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role.In this role, you will:
Lead data and AI initiatives that improve platform resilience, availability, capacity planning, and operational efficiency across the FKP ecosystem.
Build AI-driven systems to automate alert triage, anomaly detection, failure prediction, routing recommendations, resource optimization, and remediation workflows.
Partner closely with SREs and platform engineers to translate operational pain points into scalable AI/analytics solutions.
Develop and implement data pipelines, feature repositories, and telemetry ingestion frameworks for large-scale platform observability.
Build analytics dashboards and intelligence layers that give deep insights into cluster health, node behavior, workloads, SLA adherence, utilization patterns, and failure modes.
Drive data-informed decisioning for nodepool planning, release readiness, capacity scaling, and multi-region deployments.
Design and implement AI-assisted runbooks, knowledge extraction systems, and automation logic embedded into platform tooling.
Contribute to architectural discussions on data flows, analytics infrastructure, AI integration, and platform intelligence strategy.
Establish standards and best practices for data quality, governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Mentor data engineers and data scientists while enabling cross-team collaboration with SRE, AI, and platform engineering teams.
