Account Executive, Commerce Cloud – Higher Education
Salesforce is expanding its Commerce Cloud presence in Higher Education, and we’re looking for an experienced, consultative sales leader to help shape the future of digital commerce across colleges and universities.

As a Commerce Cloud Account Executive, you will own and drive Commerce Cloud revenue across a large, multi-state territory, working in close partnership with Salesforce Account Executives and cloud specialists. This is a specialist role, focused exclusively on Commerce Cloud, where you will lead solution strategy, executive engagement, and deal execution for net-new opportunities.

Higher Education is entering a new era, with lifelong learning, alternative credentials, continuing education, alumni engagement, and digital storefronts redefining how institutions engage learners. Commerce Cloud plays a critical role in enabling this transformation, and you’ll be at the center of that growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive net-new Commerce Cloud revenue across Higher Education institutions within your assigned geography.

  • Serve as the Commerce Cloud subject-matter expert, partnering with core Salesforce account teams and other cloud specialists (Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).

  • Develop and execute a regional Commerce Cloud business plan aligned to institutional priorities and Salesforce growth objectives.

  • Build strong relationships with Higher Ed executives, including Presidents, CIOs, CMOs, VPs of Enrollment, Continuing Education, and Digital Strategy.

  • Lead discovery, solution positioning, and Commerce Cloud demonstrations tailored to Higher Education use cases.

  • Articulate the value of Commerce Cloud in supporting lifelong learning, credentialing, digital marketplaces, and learner engagement.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce partners to generate pipeline and accelerate deals.

  • Negotiate and close complex software and services agreements, including new sales, expansions, and renewals.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Create customer advocates by delivering meaningful business outcomes and long-term value.

Who You Are

  • A proven enterprise sales hunter and closer with a track record of exceeding quota.

  • 10+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions, preferably in digital, commerce, or omnichannel platforms.

  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated success selling to VP- and C-level stakeholders.

  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.

  • Passionate about customer success and comfortable leading deals within a matrixed, team-based sales model.

  • Skilled at negotiating commercial terms while maintaining pricing discipline.

  • Strategic thinker who can connect technology to institutional outcomes.

  • Experience in or exposure to higher education is a plus, but not required.

Why Salesforce
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how Commerce Cloud transforms higher education, as digital commerce becomes mission-critical. You’ll play a key role in shaping this emerging market while working at the world’s most innovative enterprise software company.
If you’re excited about building something new, influencing the future of education, and driving meaningful impact for institutions and learners alike, we’d love to hear from you.
