Salesforce is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Virtual Events Demand Generation to lead end-to-end demand generation strategy and execution for our strategic and virtual events portfolio. This role is responsible for owning audience acquisition, attendee engagement, and pipeline performance, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, campaign quality, and measurable business impact.
As a Manager on the Strategic Events team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, serving as the primary demand generation owner for assigned events. You will be expected to ramp quickly, proactively identify opportunities for optimization, and deliver tightly executed, high-quality campaigns across email, paid media, and owned channels. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to manage complex, multi-channel programs from strategy through execution and reporting.
You will partner closely with creative, brand, messaging, product marketing, marketing technology, and executive stakeholders to design and deliver cost-effective, scalable demand generation programs that drive registration, attendance, and pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end demand generation strategy and execution for strategic and virtual events, including audience targeting, channel mix, messaging approach, and performance optimization.
- Independently develop and execute email and paid media campaigns, ensuring precision in build, QA, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Lead campaign planning and execution to drive registration, attendance, engagement, and pipeline, with clear success metrics and accountability.
- Translate audience insights, performance data, and business priorities into actionable demand generation strategies that refine event value propositions and targeting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for demand generation across assigned events, proactively managing timelines, dependencies, and risks.
- Build and manage campaign plans, bills of materials, and marketing requests across Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Slack, and related systems with a high bar for accuracy and completeness.
- Establish and maintain repeatable, scalable campaign frameworks that can be leveraged across the strategic events portfolio.
- Partner with performance marketing and analytics teams to define reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs; analyze results and surface insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Own post-event performance reporting, ensuring data integrity and clear storytelling tied to business outcomes.
- Drive the deployment and optimization of event websites and registration flows to maximize conversion and audience readiness.
- Act as a proactive problem solver—identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and continuously raising the quality and effectiveness of demand generation programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in demand generation, lifecycle marketing, or audience acquisition, preferably in B2B SaaS or cloud technology.
- Proven experience owning and executing multi-channel campaigns (email and paid media required) with a strong track record of operational excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control; consistently produces accurate, polished, and well-executed campaigns.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Data-driven and results-oriented, with experience using performance metrics to inform strategy and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Google Analytics and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with AI-powered marketing technologies and use cases, including audience segmentation, personalization, predictive insights, and campaign optimization; ability to translate AI capabilities into practical demand generation applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience supporting virtual events, webinars, or large-scale digital programs strongly preferred.
