We are looking for a passionate Leader to drive growth and lead our Commercial Sales team, dedicated to the Financial Services vertical.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a collaborative, fun, trusting, and independent team with a great culture. Your primary focus will be on elevating strategic deal execution and driving the future growth of the team size and business scope in partnership with leadership. The ideal candidate will bring sound business acumen and offer a strategic lens to an already established and successful team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Nurture, mentor, and develop a high-performing, innovative, and diverse team of Account Executives focused on the Financial Services vertical.

  • Drive a high performance team of and over-achievement against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new logo acquisition and growth within existing accounts.

  • Drive an inclusive, collaborative, learning environment cultivated with mentoring and regular feedback.

  • Possess an analytical and data-driven approach to the business, ensuring the team consistently leverages sales data to optimize the sales funnel and forecasting.

Strategy & Execution

  • Own the entire sales process for the FS commercial territory, from strategy definition to deal closure, ensuring delivery against the team's revenue quota.

  • Build out and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the Commercial Financial Services vertical in Sydney/Australia, identifying key market segments and qualified target accounts.

  • Conduct accurate forecasting and reporting on the most critical drivers of the business, maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation.

  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity across the team's sales motion.

  • Prioritise and lead industry events and user groups (e.g. roundtables) to generate market interest and establish Salesforce as a trusted advisor in the sector.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Industry Expertise

  • Build influential relationships and align support with key Cross-Functional Partners, including Sales / Business Development Teams, Marketing,, Solution Engineering, Sales Programs, and Partner Alliances.

  • Act as a senior escalation point and executive sponsor for complex, high-value deals, leveraging solution selling expertise to articulate strong growth strategies and return on investment for FS customers.

  • Leverage deep understanding of the Financial Services ecosystem to guide AEs in advising customers on the Salesforce Platform and promoted solutions to help them achieve their specific business transformations (e.g., digital banking, regulatory compliance, customer experience).

Required Qualifications

  • Established experience in enterprise or commercial software sales

  • Proven track record of consistent achievement of quota expectations in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.

  • Consultative sales skills and demonstrated ability to construct and articulate complex business value propositions (ROI, strategic business planning).

  • Ability to analyse and synthesize complex sales data to derive actionable insights and optimise the sales funnel.

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and deliver results in a cross-functional environment.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Sydney, Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a direct Sales Management/Leadership role, managing quota-carrying Account Executives.

  • Prior experience working within the SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS (Software/Infrastructure/Platform) technology space.

  • Prior experience with Sales Methodology training (e.g., SPIN, Challenger, MEDDIC).

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and establish credibility as a 'Trusted Adviser' with C-Suite executives in Commercial-segment accounts.

  • A resilient, growth mindset driven to continuously learn and adapt.
