The Senior Director of LATAM SMB Marketing is a dynamic, results-focused leader who will own the end-to-end marketing strategy, planning, and execution for the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment across Latin America.

This is a crucial player/coach role, managing a small team while also retaining individual contributor responsibilities. The role requires a hands-on, execution-oriented professional who can thrive in a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment, with ultimate accountability for driving pipeline and sales growth for the SMB segment in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & planning: Define and implement the integrated marketing plan for LATAM SMB, focusing on new customer acquisition and expansion. Evolve the go-to-market strategy to ensure successful regional business performance.

  • Integrated marketing planning: Develop and execute a multi-channel, full-funnel marketing strategy to improve brand perception and generate pipeline in support of the regional growth goals. This encompasses brand awareness, content, data-driven digital marketing, sales prospecting, executive engagement, virtual/in-person field events, and third-party tradeshows.

  • Leadership & team: Manage and develop a high-performing marketing team, emphasizing career development, performance management, diversity, inclusion, and maintaining a strong team culture and morale.

  • Stakeholder alignment: Build a cross-GTM coalition by working closely and collaboratively with the LATAM SMB Sales organization and Sales Development teams to deliver against regional growth goals, and with the broader LATAM marketing team to incorporate SMB customers into the overall regional marketing strategy. Be the voice of the region into central marketing functions to agree priorities for the region and localize global programs. This includes influencing and leading through collaboration.

  • Lead generation and development: Partner closely with sales on full funnel campaign execution. Enable sales teams with toolkits, templates, and campaign timelines to ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts.

  • Business performance: Own key business metrics across the funnel. Be accountable for SMB marketing KPIs, tracking, measuring, and communicating program results. Continually optimize efforts for efficiency and scale, while investigating business health issues such as conversion and lead quality.

  • Budget management: Ensure optimal management of the marketing budget through careful prioritization of efforts.

  • Product & solutions: Drive product and solution initiatives and new product introductions into the region, setting and measuring performance against objectives.

  • External representation: Act as a spokesperson for Salesforce at industry events and with media, analysts, partners, and customers for company positioning and messaging.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven field marketing leader with 15+ years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and nurture teams, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.

  • Business acumen: Ability to drive impact based on a deep understanding of market trends, business priorities, and corporate strategy (global and local). Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to understand and effectively translate messages for senior leadership, sales, and marketing audiences.

  • Collaboration: Natural collaborator and relationship builder who thrives in a matrix organization, working effectively across different disciplines, time zones, and cultures.

  • Language: Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
