The Manager, APAC + ASEAN Sponsorships will develop and own the sponsorship relationship between Salesforce and regional ecosystem partners, oversee sponsorship operations in the APAC and ASEAN region, drive revenue to support event goals, and contribute to wider Sponsorship Marketing objectives. Sponsorships will run across the Salesforce marketing portfolio of offerings, including but not limited to in person and digital events, content, media and more. This position provides sales and operational execution and works closely with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and third-party agencies to create, sell, negotiate, close, and execute world-class sponsorships that will further position Salesforce as a leader in the industry.
The Manager, APAC + ASEAN Sponsorships will lead regional activations, own operational tasks and programs and contribute to other global programmes. The successful candidate will work with internal and external teams to create and scale processes that optimise the sponsorship effort globally ensuring an outstanding sponsor and stakeholder experience. This role is the first impression of the sponsorship team, a critical position, and to thrive one must have passion and expertise in project management and a deep interest in doing everything possible to ensure sponsors are wildly successful.
The Manager, APAC + ASEAN Sponsorships must be a master at critical thinking, an exceptional communicator (verbal and written), detail-obsessed, have the confidence to be resourceful on a daily basis, able to prioritise shifting tasks as needed, and the can-do spirit to repeatedly strategise and execute flawlessly. This role is on a team that is dedicated to sponsor success, is fast-paced, and entrepreneurial in an always challenging environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Represent Salesforce as a global software, cultural and thought-leading brand to create high-impact ways for our ecosystem partners to activate with us.
Own sales process from prospecting to deal close, building and maintaining deep, long-lasting relationships with key sponsor decision-makers & executives to drive ongoing value through upsells and renewals.
Event Lead on regional events - project manage the delivery of all elements of sold sponsorships in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
Work cross-functionally with Strategic Events, and executive sponsors to understand client needs, objectives, etc.
Develops strong relationships with regional Alliances stakeholders to ensure priority partners are represented at key events.
Work across a diverse set of projects/events simultaneously, planning and executing assignments that are on strategy, on time and flawlessly executed.
Establish effective relationships and workflows across multiple internal teams and external agencies Ideate and unearth new and existing assets across the marketing portfolio that align with Salesforce Sponsorship strategy.
Develop sales material narrative, pitch to client decision makers, structure deals, negotiate deal terms, close and work with legal to execute contracts.
Ideate, build and package 360-degree solution-based sponsorships based on a client’s needs, objectives & feedback.
Qualifications:
Significant relevant work experience (sponsorship sales and fulfillment, account management, project management, B2B conference or tradeshow planning, or similar field).
Meticulous organisational abilities to coordinate a number of activities in a fast-paced and challenging environment Self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced, start-up environment.
Proven experience effectively working with teams across multiple departments, time zones, and functions.
Strong attention to detail and project management experience
Working knowledge of the Salesforce partner ecosystem
Experience with Sales Cloud a plus.
Demonstrated ability to present to customers & leadership and overall strong presentation building skills.
Dynamic and thrives on a winning team.
Outside the box, innovative and creative thinker.
Outstanding customer service skills with a solution-oriented perspective Ability to develop and maintain external relationships with c-level executives Ability to manage and organise significant pipeline and report on progress to leadership.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
