Your Impact:

In this role, you will have a crucial role in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure and platform tools for Salesforce Agentforce. This role requires high technical skills along with a strong affinity for architecture, Infra scaling, performance, and Infrastructure development to improve the performance and scalability of systems. You will be leading the R&D team’s development methodology, tools, and frameworks and make a significant impact on the “go-to-production” process for an auto-scaled cloud system.

You will be a part of the Salesforce AI Platform, an AI technology that makes all Salesforce products smarter and powers Agentforce. In AI Platform, we develop AI solutions for all Salesforce clouds. We automate data entry and predictive analysis so our customers can make every selling moment count. Our AI solution prioritizes the best next steps, helps to win more opportunities, makes better decisions, increases forecast accuracy, and more.

Salesforce AI Platform group comprises data scientists, engineers, and growth analysts dedicated to driving product strategy with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

Key role in designing and implementing cloud-based AI and Generative AI Infrastructure and services as part of the Salesforce AI Platform. Build a large-scale infrastructure to support the AI Platform for Salesforce Engineers and Data Scientists. Utilize best architecture/capabilities across different underlying platforms while avoiding duplication of functionality (i.e., one implementation of each significant component) and building shared services across multiple applications.

Develop software solutions by studying information needs, and systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.

Support software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software development experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE or similar role.

  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, C++, and Ruby.

  • Extensive experience with cloud PaaS providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

  • Proven experience in designing large-scale, cost-efficient systems in distributed environments.

  • Proficiency in managing, upgrading, and supporting Kubernetes services.

  • In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures.

  • Experience with configuration management technologies such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible.

  • Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong background in open source technology.

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, and any other AWS services to support AI solutions.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services including Azure OpenAI to design and support scalable AI solutions across real-time and batch data pipelines.

  • Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs such as REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, JSON, etc.

  • Understanding of fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, HTTP

  • Understand cloud security and best practices.
