About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our platform infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about building high-availability systems, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain scalable and reliable platform infrastructure across on-premise and cloud systems.
* Ensure system capacity, performance, and availability are consistently maintained.
* Champion our continuous integration and automated testing initiatives, including unit and functional testing.
* Lead the definition of sub-component requirements and provide accurate project effort estimations.
* Deliver high-quality, stable software with a strong focus on attention to detail.
* Work effectively within a multi-site, multi-cultural development and testing team.
* Drive and exceed project milestones through self-motivation and accountability.
* Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring peers and embracing knowledge-sharing.
* Participate in our on-call rotation to resolve complex, real-time issues and maintain service uptime.
* Continuously contribute to innovation and process improvement in a fast-paced development cycle.

Required Skills

* 5+ years of software development experience in large-scale, production-grade environments.
* Proven technical expertise paired with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
* Solid experience working with Linux systems, particularly CentOS, RHEL, or Oracle Linux.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Understanding of object-oriented programming, API design, and RESTful services.
* Demonstrated experience collaborating on automation projects in cross-functional teams.
* Ability to produce clear, concise documentation and deliver technical presentations.

Desirable

* Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and orchestration.
* Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
* Experience working within a Scrum/Agile development framework.
* Exposure to configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, etc.).
* Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines; experience with Jenkins is a plus.

For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $125,700 to $216,700.
