The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted advisor to the business, guiding decision-making through strong business partnership and insightful, innovative analysis. Role Description
Salesforce is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support our F&S Customer Success (CS) team. This role will partner with CS and overall Go-to-Market (GTM) organizations on financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and ad hoc analyses. We are looking for a self-starter who can build thoughtful analysis and reporting to enable budget execution and optimization, and who can play an integral role in key cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
Shape and optimize end-to-end processes for forecasting topline revenue, headcount, direct expenses, and consolidations.
Act as consolidations lead, ensuring financial data is accurately compiled, reconciled, and presented for leadership reviews.
Partner with the broader F&S GTM team to develop forecasting models, build dashboards, identify business trends, and craft narratives for headcount and expense planning.
Conduct in-depth financial analyses to explain variances versus forecast during monthly close, delivering actionable insights to Finance Business Partners.
Provide ad hoc financial support and scenario analysis to Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes for greater efficiency and data accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
4+ years of FP&A experience (forecasting, planning, and financial cycles); public accounting backgrounds also considered
Advanced spreadsheet skills in Excel and Google Sheets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Strong analytical, modeling, and planning skills
Experience developing management presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Big Four public accounting/advisory or management consulting experience
Finance/Accounting degree and/or MBA or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.
