Salesforce Marketing is looking for a Senior Member of the Technical Staff (SMTS) to join our Engineering development team. Our goal is to deliver technology that is centered around our business and our collective success. We are customer zero by developing Salesforce on Salesforce solutions, as well as, we oversee technology strategy, customer and partner enablement, applications engineering, and collaboration with infrastructure, operations, architecture, and program enablement. We own the world’s foremost Salesforce implementation and enable our global Ohana to do their best work by leveraging our platform.

This job requires a senior engineering technology leader, who takes ownership, works under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas, provide feedback and collaborate on many projects within the teams portfolio that may be outside your domain expertise.

Responsibilities:
- Strong analytical and problem solving
- Leading design activities for significant or unique problems
- Working alongside and at times, stepping in for, the team’s lead engineer
- Build applications on Salesforce with a holistic mindset
- Plan, design and implement highly scalable solutions.
- Mentor junior developers in software engineering practices
- Engage in designing applications with architects and lead engineers
- The ability to implement your vision using Object Oriented design patterns
- Create test suites to Test the Pyramid
- Champion best practices in SDLC, Agile, and software development.
- Develop test plans and test strategy
- Develop Unit/functional automated tests in Java and/or Apex
- Diagnose, track and manage quality issues to resolution
- Ensure developed applications are secure per Salesforce policies and best practices
- Work with quality engineers, business analysts and product owners for product delivery
- Ensure product quality meets customer expectation
- Role model for our Great Leader Characteristics (Knows the business, win as a team, motivate & champion, get it done, compelling communicator, trust, equality, innovation, fun)
Experience/Skills Required
- 7+ year experience with Java
- 7+ years experience using Web Services (SOAP and REST)
- 7+ years experience with Web Development using server side, HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Javascript
- 5+ years experience in CI/CD, automation and associated tools (Jenkins, Maven, etc.)
- 5+ years experience with Application Security practices
- 3+ years experience with Java framework (i.e. Spring boot)
- Extensive understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design patterns such as MVC
- Expertise with relational database languages (SQL or SOQL)
- Experience with data modeling design
- Bachelor's degree - ideally in Computer Science, or Engineering
- Ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control (Git), command line, continuous deployment, release management
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience/Skills Desired
- 3+ years of experience programming with Force.com (Apex and Visualforce)
- Experience developing on the Salesforce.com platform & API’s
- Certifications in Force.com and/or Java
