Vice President Solution Engineering Germany

Reporting to the Country Manager Germany, you will be a key member of the German leadership team and instrumental in managing and closing deals, where Salesforce is striving to deliver business transformation to its customers' and their long-term sustainable success and demonstrate a commitment to Salesforce's core values:

Key outcomes for the new leader

Pivotal to this will be your ability to partner with the sales and distribution leadership. To assist customers in transforming their organizations and providing strategic counsel on the path for adoption, value and success. This SE leader will lead the SE team to transform the way Salesforce engages our customers, demonstrates value and guides toward the path to success. You will work closely with the wider leadership team and especially the Sales teams to drive our growth plans into the future.

The candidate

The successful candidate will have a breadth and depth of experience in IT knowledge especially Saas Business, knows how to drive and support sales KPIs across varied industries and can form and shape a A-Player Team. The candidate is experienced in technical discussions around IT architecture and knows how to demo and position the value of a solution likes the one of salesforce.

You are able to have CIO conversations on the one hand side but also conversations about deep technology capabilities with e.g. Head of Architecture on the other hand side

You will have exceptional leadership, communication, strategic, analytical, pre-sales, and consulting skills, as well as a track record of building and leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales leadership to support and drive Salesforce’s transformation value proposition
  • Focus on nurturing transformation mindsets beyond the pure technical scope
  • Ensure the team is designing a compelling solution for the Customer’s success
  • Manage, balance and grow a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of Solution Engineers with a varied and complementary set of skills
  • Work closely with the Sales organization to develop and execute growth plans to drive our strategic vision
  • Hire world-class talent and manage performance to ensure career growth opportunities and effective succession planning
  • Build and contribute to innovative go-to-market solutions
  • Scale out organizational programs that improve productivity, expertise, and cross-collaboration
  • Embody and champion Salesforce values and provide exemplary leadership

Experience/Skills Required

  • Strategy or management and organization consulting experience, with sales leadership (pre-sales, sales and delivery of projects while managing teams)
  • Understanding of design thinking methods and approaches (human centered thinking)
  • Deep relationships with C-level executives and track record of selling solutions at the C-level
  • Demonstrated success in building / managing an experts’ organization with a will to win and continuous improvement
  • Track record of consistently delivering revenue numbers while maintaining a focus on team development and growth
  • Ability to work independently and in a strong team environment, and to deliver on detail as well as strategy
  • Ability to evaluate and develop the existing teams and reshape it as necessary while mentoring and inspiring the team
  • Passion for technology and innovation, and a proven “forward thinker”
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Computing and the business benefit
  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts with a human centered mindset
  • Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications
  • Analytical and negotiation skills, particularly at the C-level
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
