Salesforce has an internal continuous integration and test cloud, spread across Public (AWS, GCP) clouds, that builds every check-in, runs hundreds of thousands of tests against it and bugs the test failures. The quality of our product and the productivity of the rest of our R&D organization are dependent on this framework. Looking for an Software Engineer with SRE/DevOps experience to join a team that is spread across various time zones and supports this system. On-call support is expected from the member during off business hours and weekends, on a periodic basis.


  • Tackle issues with our production automation system, perform root-cause analysis and seek to automate manual tasks.
  • Assist developers and release managers who utilize the automation framework.
  • Help answer questions and issues regarding the development and production system that are posted in internal groups.
  • Work with partner teams to roll out new features and debug issues in a production environment.
  • Plan and execute on maintenance activities and internal software deployments.
  • Write technical documentation that can be used across teams.
  • Write automation with Python/Shell scripts/Argo workflows


  • 8+ yrs experience managing large scale production systems & debugging application/infrastructure issues.
  • Experience with various monitoring and provisioning tools, such as Zabbix, Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of Source Code Management tools (Git or Perforce etc).
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks using Python, Shell Scripting, Argo Workflows.
  • Experience working with Java applications (coding experience not required).
  • Experience working with GCP / AWS is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge or experience working with Docker/Kubernetes is a big plus.
  • A related technical degree required

For British Columbia-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is CAD 150,200 to CAD 206,600.
