About this position:

The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted advisor to the business to help inform and guide decision-making through business partner support and insightful analyses. We are looking for bright, goal-oriented individuals who will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in building and improving processes that will allow the company to scale with growth. As a Senior Financial Analyst on the M&A and Metrics Finance team, you will be in a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will interact with senior leadership regularly.

Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with key business partners, establishing trust and gaining an understanding of relevant business drivers to own and lead monthly and quarterly budget updates and reviews

  • Own long-range, annual, and quarterly planning, analysis and reporting of M&A revenue and expense budgets

  • Provide insightful analysis on monthly and quarterly reconciliations of actuals to budget

  • Serve as the F&S functional domain expert to M&A Finance team for Corporate deliverables, including owning system responsibilities such as Workday, Coupa and Hyperion

  • Work cross-functionally with F&S, Accounting, and other business partners to translate deal models into Salesforce functional revenue and expense profile, including integrating into planning and outlook cycles and ensuring forecast accuracy

  • Assist in financial diligence of acquisition targets and creation of deal model integration budgets

  • Monitor ongoing performance of the acquired business(es) through careful analysis, investigation, and reporting of monthly and quarterly financial results

  • Liaison across Salesforce’s matrixed M&A organization representing the voice of Finance to drive growth and build trust within our acquired businesses

  • Assist with execution of M&A playbook to fully integrate acquired business’ financial management and processes to Core teams, while ensuring best-in-class experience for acquired company


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline, and 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in the field of financial analysis or the job offered.

  • Advanced business analysis & Excel modeling skills ; experience building financial and decision support models

  • SaaS business experience highly preferred

  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and manage interdependencies on other company processes to meet work deadlines

  • Exceptional problem solving skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions

  • Experience with multi-dimensional databases, e.g. Hyperion or other financial systems

  • Proven ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and often as the day to day can vary from quarter to quarter.

  • Detail oriented and data driven

  • M&A experience preferred

  • SQL and Tableau experience a plus
