Overview of the role

Salesforce is currently seeking a Senior Solution Consultant to join our Professional Services team within the Customer Success Group (CSG). The Senior Solution Consultant leads one or more work streams in sophisticated enterprise customer engagements, partnering with key collaborators to achieve the vision while completing key deliverables. They serve as hands-on advisors, using strong social skills, solution and/or technical knowledge, Salesforce product knowledge, industry experience in the Telecommunications and/or Media domain, consulting experience, and knowledge of their client’s business to deliver customer return on investment.

Senior Solution Consultants are strong presenters that are able to obtain customer acceptance by demonstrating solutions and an understanding of the client's vision. They can identify key risks or issues and are confident in handling difficult conversations with their team and customer(s) to address them. They interact with customer product owners, business process owners and technical resources to understand requirements, analyze information, and craft comprehensive solutions. They also show a strong understanding of typical business challenges faced by customers and common objectives. They supply thought leadership and standard processes, both internally in their Community and externally in the marketplace.

Through our extended onboarding program of formal certification, internal training, knowledge transfer, hands on experience and closely working with other Consultants, Architects and Project Managers you will become a Salesforce Domain Authority at the forefront of our offerings, delivering outstanding customer success.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client.
  • Lead Telco and Media customers on their process, business and technical challenges ensuring balanced, scalable, and standard methodology solutions that meet and exceed customer needs while building sustainable relationships with them and team members.
  • Participate as a part of a team working on internal critical initiatives to grow the consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the community’s overall knowledge base and expertise.
  • Work collaboratively and having very strong communications skills, especially in guiding complex concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking.
  • Identify and proactively handle risk areas and commit to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.
  • Handle customer expectations; negotiate solutions to sophisticated problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
  • Review and correct key artifacts to keep projects on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward.
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, and directly with clients to design technology solutions to meet client needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of a program vision/case creation and justification, and be responsible for the monitoring and delivery of these elements throughout the program's lifecycle while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform.

Required qualifications

  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform shown by projects and certifications.
  • Prior experience in Telecommunications and/or Media Industries.
  • Deep understanding of Industry specific concepts such as Product Catalogs, CPQ, Order Management and/or Contract Lifecycle Management.
  • Understanding of customer business processes and how to connect business requirements with functional capabilities.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories and providing detailed system and functional designs.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks (such as SAFE) and design background.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as well as good presentation, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Resourceful and ambitious thinker who can work through and tackle problems.
  • Available to travel regionally and occasionally internationally depending on customer needs.
  • Proficiency in English AND German languages.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce Industries technology like Salesforce Omnistudio, Communications Cloud, Media Cloud or Energy & Utilities Cloud
  • Experience with Advertising Sales Management
  • Ability to build and be a great partner both internally and externally.
  • Experience working in a consulting role working with matrix teams.
