What we are doing:

  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Understand our customers' business challenges and data/analytics strategies. Identify the best solution for our customers and support them in achieving their business goals. Enable customers to be more data-driven as a Tableau SE, showcasing and exciting them in Tableau's solution.
  • Consultation and Pre-sales Support: Provide technical and analytical advisory services. Offer pre-sales support in partnership with our internal direct sales team(s). Drive adoption of Tableau within accounts, resulting in customer success.
  • Build Outstanding Relationships: Develop strong customer relationships, driving adoption of Tableau within accounts and ensuring customer success. Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert for both internal teams and clients, providing insights, recommendations, and best practices.
  • Knowledge Excellence and Innovation: Stay updated on new technologies, such as AI, and introduce them to our customers. Provide knowledge excellence, including presenting at events such as Salesforce World Tour Korea, Tableau Datafest, Tableau Conference.
  • Solution Engineering Leadership: Lead a team of solution engineers, embodying Tableau's values of Trust, Innovation, Customer Success, and Equality. Introduce Tableau to a new audience, effectively communicating our mission, values, and product offerings. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand client needs and objectives, and develop customized solutions to address them. Design and architect solutions that leverage Tableau's analytics platform to transform data into actionable insights.


  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution engineering, software development, or a related field
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Significant experience and knowledge in BI and analytics systems
    • Industry knowledge
    • Proficiency in data management technologies
    • Experience in design/building analytics data pipelines
    • Knowledge of server, infrastructure, and cloud-related technologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Passion for exploring and adopting new technologies.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in AI/statistical analysis.
    • Development experience with Python/R.
    • Front-end and/or back-end Web development experience.
    • Previous experience in solution pre-sales.
