The Senior Director of Product Management, Business Technology will lead a team to deliver enterprise systems for use by Salesforce employees, partners & customers. In partnership with key stakeholders, this individual will be responsible for developing strategies, roadmaps and high quality information systems as well as driving business results through the success of key business partners and corporate functions. This will include building and managing product, engineering and service managers (operations support) with third party vendors.
This role will focus on end to end systems delivery for the Professional Services division, including accountability for parts or all of the required Professional Services applications that support Salesforce Professional Services team members reporting to our Professional Services Business Partner Group. The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated a passion for inspiring, mentoring, and developing people and delivering services that are built with security, scale, quality, and reusability in mind.
This leader must be a technologist with strong business foundation, confirmed expertise in improving productivity, driving business partner satisfaction, and maintaining technology and security controls. The candidate must have multiple years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced, global company with exceptional growth. The selected candidate must be a hands-on leader, possess development/delivery expertise and strong client relationship management, promote a collaborative team culture, and ignite passion within the team to build detailed applications. The candidate must be able to understand business / operational requirements and translate appropriately to create technology for near and longer term strategies in support of the business.
Primary Responsibilities
Facilitate the evolution of the BT Product & Engineering organization through the hiring and development of elite extraordinary IT professionals.
Integrate efforts across all Business Technology teams in support of the Professional Services business requirements with special focus on transformation & run-the-business efforts for our professional services core, AI, and transformation programs.
Organize and empower a leadership team to deliver on BT commitments.
Partner with other executives to align business and IT strategies and roadmaps and to drive business partner success.
Partner across the GTM Solution Delivery Group (SDG, Sales, Revenue, Customer Success, Partner, PubSec, Professional Services & M&A/PMO), the CIO organization, and broadly across Salesforce to deliver solutions.
Deliver on a portfolio of projects and services enabling multiple Salesforce teams and their customers to run Salesforce on Salesforce technology.
Deliver applications using Salesforce technology including MuleSoft Integration Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Heroku, Salesforce CPQ, and Communities to showcase how Salesforce runs on Salesforce. As well as Certinia / Financial Force, AI Co-Pilot and large language model technologies.
Responsible for maintaining culture, setting up recruiting strategies, implementing process to allow scale and, ultimately, creating the best IT organization in the market.
Ensure cost effective scalable solutions
Required Skills/Experience
10+ years of experience leading a customer-focused IT team in a rapidly growing environment.
8+ years leading, mentoring, motivating and growing a mature and dedicated delivery team; must have strong history of developing people, both technically and professionally.
3+ years experience leading a development team in an internal cloud-based IT organization, with strong preference for those who have led in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Salesforce technology including MuleSoft, Tableau, Einstein Analytics, Sales Cloud, and Lightning Development a significant plus
Experience leading cloud application development and SOA architecture.
Capable of handling multiple applications/projects simultaneously.
Ability to serve as a collaborative and effective partner with business unit executives; ability to influence decisions across functions.
History of strong leadership focused on a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
Strong communication skills with capability to facilitate deep technical conversations, leading a technical team within business, application, data, and technical architecture fields.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
