The Director, Analytical Platform Governance will drive the data governance approach and data management strategy for our leading analytical platforms. This leader will be responsible for driving analytical data governance for the company through delivery of best practices while demonstrating and delivering business value in a fast-paced, volatile, and complex ecosystem.


  • Define the data governance approach and data management operating model for our Salesforce-on-Salesforce analytical platform
  • Launch an SME working group and lead the definition of an end-to-end governance approach, including data access, data security, data privacy, Enterprise Architecture, risk management, etc. for the company’s analytical platforms
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture in order to integrate the governance approach with the data space development strategy
  • Embed key governance principles into the intake process for the company’s analytical platforms
  • Partner with Business Technology teams in order to develop a migration and enforcement strategy which aligns to the governance approach for analytical platforms
  • Partner closely with data management product teams in order to define key automation opportunities to align data platforms with the long-term analytical platform governance approach
  • Understand analytic community needs and build them into the long-term governance approach for analytical platforms

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years experience as a Leader in Enterprise Data Governance or Data Platforms or similar environment
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale data management transformations and/or product implementations
  • Experience leading teams in a decentralized and matrixed environment, across different geographies and time zones
  • Strong data governance background that includes driving strategy, architecture, governance, tooling and enablement
  • Effectively drive consensus across organizations and clearly articulate governance strategy, vision and business values
  • Extensive experience in leading complex projects with a team-focused approach, organize and handle deadlines, and demonstrated passion for working with data
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets

  • Commitment to continuous improvement, successful at leading by influence, and excellent at building business cases for investments to improve data management
  • Ability to be agile, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguous specifications
  • Effectively motivate people, instill accountability and demonstrate the value of data across a wide range of individuals (engineers, data scientists, analysis, service owners, executives, customers, auditors, etc.)
