Role Overview
Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a meaningful role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology & Products organizations. TPMs are responsible for programs through from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company!
The Salesforce Platform team is in search of a Manager/Senior Manager of Technical Program Management! In this role you will engage with cross functional stakeholders, including product leaders and Partner Sales teams to support ISV readiness of new and existing Salesforce products and clouds, ensuring their successful launch on AppExchange. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of driving action and results; is comfortable flexing between program coordination and execution, and demonstrates a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility. The preferred expert combines intellectual curiosity with empathy for partners and their complex real-world challenges. This is an individual contributor role.
Success in this role requires a genuine enthusiasm for Salesforce Platform Technologies coupled with a commitment to assisting partners in leveraging Salesforce’s world-class AppExchange technologies to distribute their solutions. You must be enthusiastic about the Salesforce Products and be willing to create a new process around the Developer Readiness of new innovations to ensure accountability for Partner persona within our product definition of done. You must be willing to roll your sleeves to mobilize and lead a variety of initiatives across providing our Salesforce Partners developer org access to our product innovations and our ISV Readiness Program. You will assist with our ISV / OEM New Product Introduction process, including tracking the prioritization, status, and availability of products to our partner ecosystem.
Your Impact
Drive accountability around the ISV Readiness program and ongoing product accountability for our Partner ecosystem needs
Create new process to ensure ISV Readiness is within our product definition of done
Help support the execution of ISV Force and OEM GTM new SKU and product launches for our partners.
Spearhead the development of appropriate licensing, and the New Product Introduction process around SKU development in partnership with the Platform product team and internal stakeholders.
Steer GTM operational needs by working with the Ops team to change processes to support Partner’s access to Salesforce’s latest technology.
Innovate and lead internal process transformations and program initiatives to ensure that new partner offerings are robust, and commercially viable while providing a seamless experience for partners and their customers.
Lead programs by aligning across program scope, and release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, and business goals, crafting program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment.
Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals.
Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.
Required Skills/Experience:
7-10 years of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
Strong Knowledge of AppExchange and Salesforce Partner Community
Experience with Salesforce GUS management is a plus
Proven experience in supporting and launching SaaS-based offerings, including consumption-based products
Expertise in industry standards and pricing strategies to help businesses determine and set competitive prices
Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.
Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Ability to influence people and teams
Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
