Department Overview: Portfolio Management, Enablement & Operations
The Portfolio Management, Enablement and Operations team aligns Data and Analytics (DnA) investments with strategic goals by prioritizing and driving the execution of high-value projects, assuring product quality and customer satisfaction, and showcasing our value broadly with stakeholders. We enable both staff and customer productivity and promote the perceived value of DnA amongst our stakeholders through execution of projects in the areas of learning, communications, operations, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
Role Description
Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a critical role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our DnA organization. TPMs oversee programs through from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company stakeholders to drive critical programs and activities across the company.
The Senior Analyst, Technical Program Management (TPM) for DnA coordinates between multiple pillar delivery teams when projects / programs are created. The TPM is responsible for managing project/program budget, timeline, and working with Product Management to ensure scope delivery meets overall program goals and vision according to definitions of success. This person is critical in orchestrating a successful delivery of a sophisticated initiative that spans across multiple teams, Business Partner Groups, Solution Delivery Groups, or technology areas. They facilitate the critical path of work development and delivery across all dependent teams, defining and clearing blockers and ensuring a steady flow of work through the contributing teams. The TPM understands the scope of the project/program at a macro level and is accountable for keeping all leadership, impacted teams, and collaborators updated at all times about the progress, risks, and critical achievements of enterprise-level deliveries.

Primary Responsibilities
Ensure deliverables are aligned across involved teams for projects and programs
Provide program specific knowledge transfer as new members are added to the program
Drive cross functional program priorities
Track and run program artifacts
Coordinate handoffs of program deliverables
Drive program retrospectives upon closure and after completion of critical achievements
Engage with Senior Lead to share feedback on Program Management tools, standards, processes and areas for improvement
Support Portfolio Managers with work intake as requested
Support PI Planning (for SAFe driven engagements), and other work planning efforts to synthesize outputs into appropriate program materials in partnership with RTE, and Product roles
Coordinate project / program interdependencies between the various projects and programs in the portfolios
Effectively and accurately report delivery progress to program stakeholders
Identify and align with Product team on GUS 'projects' for the Program and ensure they are created in GUS following guidance in the GUS work breakdown structure
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
3+ years proven experience in Program/Project role
Strong computer skills - experience with G-Suite, Smartsheets or comparable platforms
Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment
Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
Experience with business process expertise around enterprise software and internal operations
Experience using Salesforce preferred, but not required
PMP Certification preferred
