The Sales Strategy & Operations Senior Manager is a critical role in the COO team and is responsible for the operational rigor, planning and GTM Operation execution in the team. The remit of this role is across ASEAN and ANZ.

What you’ll be doing…

The Sales Strategy & Operations Senior Manager is focused on identifying the opportunities that lead to increased customer value across Tableau’s ASEAN and ANZ region business by working across functions to turn the opportunities into outcomes. By bringing together best practice and new ideas combined with an understanding of and analysis and reporting of sales‐related data. They will ensure that the Sales Leadership understands the state of their business and the impact strategic decisions will have on potential outcomes.


The Sales Strategy & Operations Senior Manager will work in close partnership with sales leadership and APAC and global Strategy teams to design, evaluate and operationalise the organisation structure, Go-To-Market models and compensation plans for Tableau sales employees. Projects range from robust analytic models, performance analysis, reporting and the packaging of findings into content for sales executives.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include…

  • Lead an annual review of Go-To-Market structures, Territories and compensation plans; partner to create recommendation to sales leaders and finance

  • Prepare accurate sales reporting and forecasting for executive management

  • Assist in developing presentations for senior executives.

  • Deal review standardisation

  • Collaborate cross‐functionally to gain the required resources to attain the strategy, including collaborating with Salesforce peers

  • Proactively interact with Sales and stakeholders to continuously find ways to improve processes that will increase customer satisfaction and maximise potential growth.

  • Coordinate, with sales management, the complete sales reporting and forecasting process for all global sales channels

  • Analyse sales performance data, interpret overall results of sales

  • Collaborate with team to improve or define processes that promote data integrity and reporting functionality

  • Generate ad hoc reporting for sales management

  • Collect, analyse, evaluate and report data to track sales performance and metrics

  • Sales Pipeline Data, Quota Performance, Accurate Headcount Reporting, Bookings Performance, etc.

Who you are…

  • Experienced. Relevant years of experience in consulting, finance, sales ops, or product management, and wonderful at cross team collaboration

  • Domain. Enjoy building and executing on strategies, engaging stakeholders to attain the strategy while building the direction based on strong analytical capabilities.

  • Detail oriented. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality results

  • Strong Analytical Skills. Ability to perform complex analyses including regression, forecasting and probability modelling.

  • Excellent Communication. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and information to a broad audience

  • Technically Savvy. Strong knowledge of Excel, Salesforce.com and ability to become an expert in Tableau Software’s full product suite

  • Performer. Excellent group presentation skills

  • A True Team Player. Experience working on a project team and across multiple teams
