About the Role
As a Financial Systems Senior Manager, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the financial systems that support our rapidly expanding finance organization. Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of financial platforms, driving system enhancements, and ensuring the successful execution of finance-related projects and programs.
We’re looking for people who possess a strong mix of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of finance processes.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
Manage financial systems (Netsuite, ZIP, Metronome, Stripe) to ensure high availability, functionality, and performance.
Identify enhancement opportunities and drive the integration of financial systems to streamline workflows, improve data flow and accuracies, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Plan, manage, and execute finance-related projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Partner with the Head of Finance Business Systems to design and deploy agentic workflows and bots leveraging OpenAI’s technologies to improve productivity and decision-making within the finance organization.
Ensure adherence to technology management best practices and strengthen internal controls by identifying and mitigating risks associated with systems.
Provide expert guidance and support for systems-related inquiries to internal stakeholders across Controllership, Procure-to-Pay, Revenue and Billing Operations, and other finance teams.
Create and maintain system documentation, in addition to developing reporting dashboards to provide actionable insights into system performance and project progress.
Manage offshore teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and high performance.
Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth, and contribute to a positive team culture.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
8+ years of progressive experience managing financial systems and projects, ideally in hypergrowth environments.
Strong technical expertise in financial platforms (e.g., Netsuite, ZIP, Metronome, Stripe) and iPaaS solutions.
Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
Deep experience with system integrations, automations, and workflow optimizations.
Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in technology management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence cross-functional partners.
Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in workflow automation.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CPA, or similar) preferred.
