Software Engineering Intern - Map Tools

NVIDIA is developing AV software to power L2-4 autonomy. We are looking for software interns for our HD Map team. You will build future technologies to create and serve HD maps to millions of self-driving cars across the globe. We have the funding and scale, but we need your help on our team.
In this role, you will work alongside leaders in the HD map industry on projects that deliver significant impact to the company, leveraging your knowledge while providing you with opportunities to expand your skill-set. The team builds intuitive 2D/3D geospatial editing tools, distributed map generation workflow and map automation algorithms to ingest terabytes of sensor data through a complex pipeline with advanced deep learning models to produce the highest quality HD maps.
What you'll be doing:
Improve map tools capabilities and have a direct impact on large-scale map Building.
Further advance the cutting-edge visualization technology and mature the tech to production quality and better UX.
Design APIs, integration with web services, fetching large datasets and client side caching.
What we need to see:
Pursuing BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related fields
Strong programming in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
Experience with React framework.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience in GIS, webpack, npm, bazel.
Experience with JAVA programming.
Prior experience in the autonomous vehicles and/or HD map domain.
