Web Application Software Engineering Intern

We are now looking for a web applications software engineer to join our Hardware Infrastructure team. Our team is building new infrastructure to deliver highly available services to run scalable web services, development environments, repositories, databases, data streams, and data visualization frameworks. This software development team is a multifaceted Agile software team with high production quality standards, producing tools used by engineering across the company for tracking, triaging and debugging various kinds of data processing flows. We are looking for motivated engineers to build and maintain a new generation of infrastructure that will host these services.
What you’ll be doing:
Working on backend and frontend design and development of web applications.
Collecting requirements and provide consultation to end users about their needs and use cases.
Supporting and maintaining large scale data platform with high QoS.
Building infrastructure and microservices for various big-data scenarios.
What we need to see:
BS, MS or PhD in relevant discipline (CS, EE, CE).
Proven knowledge of Java Language and common Java API's.
Experience with SQL and at least one SQL database server.
Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Demonstrable knowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash) and Kafka.
Experience with Javascript and Ember framework.
Background with MongoDB, Hadoop and Spark.
Knowledge of at least one dynamic language like Python.
Flexibility/adaptability for working in a vibrant environment with different frameworks and requirements.
