NVIDIA is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with backend Python development skills to join our Air team – the Digital Twin for Data Center Simulation web application. To learn more, visit https://air.nvidia.com. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be tasked with creating and handling the automated build and deployment process for our cloud based service. The backend systems that run Air are vital to all operations and must be maintained and updated regularly for security and new features. Automation is key to keeping this process running smoothly.

As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications. This position offers the opportunity to have a real impact in an influential, technology-focused company impacting product lines that power the most sophisticated data centers in the world. What you'll be doing:

  • Automating build and deployment process using Ansible and Jenkins.

  • Creating automation for system patch management, dynamic infrastructure scaling, and tasks for supporting and maintaining environments.

  • Collaborate with the development team to design and develop web applications using Python and Django framework.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality.

  • Work closely with product manager and architect teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

What we need to see:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in DevOps related work and Python coding

  • Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.

  • Extensive experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

  • Proficiency in Python with strong programming and software development skills.

  • Proven experience as a Python developer with hands-on experience in Django framework.

  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts with security and performance in mind.

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.

  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Background in developing virtualization solutions using technologies like QEMU and Docker.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of Linux networking and understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

  • Familiarity with other web development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience working with front-end frameworks like Angular.

The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 230,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
