NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated, creative architect with experience in Linux kernel and hypervisor to join the NVIDIA Networking SW architecture team. In this position, you will be contributing to build virtualization technologies used in the state of the art AI clouds. We need an architect who is passionate about system software, the Linux kernel, virtualization and has an appetite for looking at the big picture when crafting solutions. We collaborate with many internal teams (software and hardware), external R&D partners and customers to define product scope and deliver the same.

What you'll be doing:

  • Enhance NVIDIA Smart-NIC offering for bare metal and multi-tenant AI clouds

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to innovate and deliver virtualization solutions

  • Translate requirements to vision, architecture and roadmap

  • Work with upstream Linux kernel/QEMU community and maintainers to drive strategic technologies

  • Integrate Confidential Compute concepts into the networking virtualization stack

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of proven experience

  • Solid understanding of the Linux kernel with 3-5 years of proven experience in Linux kernel, virtualization or device driver development

  • Proficient in C/C++ with strong software development, optimization and analytical skills

  • Strong articulation skills for crafting and improving technical documents and to engage globally distributed engineering team

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and constantly increase one's expertise

  • Knowledge in Confidential compute
