Welcome to NVIDIA's Quality and Reliability Group where we strive to develop and continuously improve quality system for better customer experience! This position is critical in maintaining the quality of NVIDIA's Automotive and Tegra products. We are looking for a Senior PQE who has a strong technical experience in Automotive board and system products, PCBA manufacturing/functional testing and customer complaint handling. They will support the product throughout the lifecycle of the product from NPI (new product introduction) to production release and later for resolving customer return issues.

What you will be doing:

  • Co-ordinate with multi-functional teams, aligning and maintaining the plan, methodologies, and requirements for failure analysis solution.

  • Develop test strategies for new features, including test equipment and diagnostic software specification and validation.

  • Detailed failure analysis, identifying root-cause of customer reported issues – Perform PCB-level debugging to isolate faults for physical FA.

  • Investigate NVIDIA product failures and determine solutions through lab experimentation and collaboration with other teams within NVIDIA to root cause and resolve complex problems.

  • Apply knowledge of system design, electrical engineering and PCBA manufacturing to propose containment and corrective action for design/production/supplier.

  • Maintain deep involvement in containment, risk assessment, and risk mitigation activities pertaining to hardware failures.

  • Share lessons-learn from previous field quality issues; give early input via DFMEA to ensure known quality, reliability, production issues are identified, and risks are mitigated.

  • Assist in generating 8D failure analysis reports and verify/characterize corrective actions’ effectiveness.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in system/board level hardware verification/debug.

  • BS Degree or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Knowledge in manufacturing and production testing of boards and systems

  • Experience with system test development and knowledge of components such as servers, storage devices, network devices, power supplies, cooling systems, security, and software.

  • Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, schematic review, statistical analysis, firmware, drivers, and diagnostic software applications.

  • Comfortable with the use of lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ)

  • Outstanding problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience of Automotive products and standards is a plus.

  • Good Knowledge of GPU/CPU product infrastructure and test methodology

  • Strong technical/debug skills in test equipment and test program troubleshooting

The base salary range is 132,000 USD - 253,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
