We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Failure Analysis (FA) Lab: A talented and highly cross-functional individual who can apply their expertise to enhance device navigation for FA workflows, develop and maintain databases for FA and Volume Diagnostics, and leverage AI solutions to enhance efficiency. This individual will work in close collaboration with our Failure Analysis Lab, DFT, and design teams to enable efficient Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) on the world’s most advanced semiconductor products and systems. This unique role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment that can adapt to a variety of challenges.
What you'll be doing:
As a Senior Software Engineer, FA Lab you will provide solutions to enhance FA workflows and enable Volume Diagnostics to debug the most challenging product failures for yield, reliability, and quality field returns
Drive AI-based initiatives to improve software solutions for volume diagnostics and silicon failure analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and deploy design data effectively
Optimize productivity of Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) equipment by collaborating with commercial Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software and FA tool vendors to integrate features from commercial software into FA workflows
Provide technical guidance on Design and Design for Test (DFT) methodologies targeted for efficient FA
Develop and maintain Computer Aided Design (CAD) databases, automation scripts, and utilities for optimal FA workflows
Mentor and train junior staff on standard processes and innovative solutions
What you need to have:
Master's or PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years working with CAD, EDA, and FA for advanced semiconductor technologies
Cross-functional experience across silicon process technology, VLSI design, and FA tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, AFM, Lock-in Thermography, Pulse Reflectometry, LVP, etc.
Excellent communication skills and collaboration both cross-functionally and between companies
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
In-depth understanding of IC fabrication processes, semiconductor physics, and design
Hands-on experience with FA analytical tools
Ability to build, train, and maintain AI models
Experience working with global teams

The base salary range is 156,000 USD - 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
