Welcome to the world of NVIDIA, where innovation knows no bounds. We've been at the forefront of technology for over two decades, and our groundbreaking invention of the GPU in 1999 revolutionized not only an industry but also the very way we engage with computers, robots, and autonomous vehicles. Today, NVIDIA stands at the forefront of AI computing and is committed to continue pushing the limits of what is achievable. Join us on this remarkable journey as we shape the future every day. Today, visual computing is becoming increasingly central to how people interact with technology, and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team!

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Failure Analysis (FA) Lab: A talented and highly cross-functional individual who can apply their expertise to enhance device navigation for FA workflows, develop and maintain databases for FA and Volume Diagnostics, and leverage AI solutions to enhance efficiency. This individual will work in close collaboration with our Failure Analysis Lab, DFT, and design teams to enable efficient Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) on the world’s most advanced semiconductor products and systems. This unique role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment that can adapt to a variety of challenges.

What you'll be doing:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer, FA Lab you will provide solutions to enhance FA workflows and enable Volume Diagnostics to debug the most challenging product failures for yield, reliability, and quality field returns

  • Drive AI-based initiatives to improve software solutions for volume diagnostics and silicon failure analysis

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and deploy design data effectively

  • Optimize productivity of Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) equipment by collaborating with commercial Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software and FA tool vendors to integrate features from commercial software into FA workflows

  • Provide technical guidance on Design and Design for Test (DFT) methodologies targeted for efficient FA

  • Develop and maintain Computer Aided Design (CAD) databases, automation scripts, and utilities for optimal FA workflows

  • Mentor and train junior staff on standard processes and innovative solutions

What you need to have:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 10+ years working with CAD, EDA, and FA for advanced semiconductor technologies

  • Cross-functional experience across silicon process technology, VLSI design, and FA tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, AFM, Lock-in Thermography, Pulse Reflectometry, LVP, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration both cross-functionally and between companies

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • In-depth understanding of IC fabrication processes, semiconductor physics, and design

  • Hands-on experience with FA analytical tools

  • Ability to build, train, and maintain AI models

  • Experience working with global teams
